Description
This is a song I wrote some time ago but I never heard it sound better because it is being enhanced by having Mandodelinquent add some beautiful mandolin sounds to it.

Lyrics
It was down in Louisiana
Beneath a haloed moon
Right beside the lonely banks
Of the Mississippi too
That I first realized that love hadn't come through
Now somewhere there is laughter of lovers feeling good
But I was down on my knees beneath the Live Oak trees wondering which way to go
when I felt my soul lift up and my feet began to move
So from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and Thibodeaux too
When you're feeling lonely, you ought to dance beneath a haloed moon
Beneath a haloed moon
Right beside the lonely banks
Of the Mississippi too
That I first realized that love hadn't come through
Now somewhere there is laughter of lovers feeling good
But I was down on my knees beneath the Live Oak trees wondering which way to go
when I felt my soul lift up and my feet began to move
So from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and Thibodeaux too
When you're feeling lonely, you ought to dance beneath a haloed moon

Excellent song!
the lyrics are great, i've thought they are classic until I've remeberd you wrote them.
the vocals are top of the pile, cream da le cream, excellent vocals.
very good playing too.
good work!!
the song sounded better in my system (I've used headphones, but I use them a lot) when I've boosted up the 310hz to 12khz in my equalizer.
