Description:
Electronica meets rock with melody.
Lyrics:
Hungry
I am, I cry
I am, I cry
hungry for this life
you don’t need a religion
to see this vision
no soothsayer to show you the way
no astral projection or meditative reflection
to taste the technicolor way
I am, I cry
hungry for this life
everyday is confection
and the night rains nectar form the sky
I am, I cry
hungry for this life
I am, I cry
sink your teeth deep into
all that life has to offer you
are you empty so you can be filled again
are you hungry to be empty
I am, I cry
hungry for this life
I am

Nicey-nice-nice &mdash 04/16/05 - 07:24:27 AM
I liked this a lot. There's definitely an electronica-
rock thing going on here. Not so much prog rock but
it all seems to work well nevertheless. I look forward
to hearing more. Sorted! [ Reply to This ]
Great voice! &mdash 04/16/05 - 12:16:40 PM
and a really cool song! Don't listen to much electronica
but the rock was enough to get my attention. Great job
mixing genres. [ Reply to This ]

Astonishing vocals &mdash 04/25/05 - 06:27:08 AM
Unique cross of styles, almost sounds a bit Floydy in bits, even got a bit of Nik Kershaw off the rhythm in places. Worked well, though, very dramatic sound. Like the production a lot apart from the guitar, a bit to "zizzy" (to be technical...)
But so what?, I don't know about anyone else but I'd buy this.
Why is your score so low...?
Just wait for the phonecalls, dude. [ Reply to This ]
Existential vampire pop &mdash 04/26/05 - 09:36:06 AM
Excellent quality. You fill all the frequencies without
saturation or conflict. Altho I usually don't much like
buzzy synths stacked, you make a great texture. Could
be an evil dance tune, yet your lyrics are voraciously full of
light, even tho your metaphors are more like vampire
rock... Excellent existential pop. With great production. [ Reply to This ]
Existential vampire pop &mdash 04/26/05 - 02:53:32 PM
I wasn't even thinking vampire metaphors... but now that I read it, after you
suggested it, I totally see it! Must be the subliminal monster movie
programming that is encoded deep inside my cortex....
Wait, what I meant to say was.... "Yeah, I 'm glad you picked up on my
intentional vampire inuendo. Yeah... right...."

average..eighties..derivative. I picture a guy with great
mounds of bouncing hair surrounded by keyboards,
bathed in blue and red lights... [ Reply to This ]
Retro &mdash 05/26/05 - 09:41:16 AM
I don't go with xjudson's comment. This is not average.
It's well done. It's just so very, very Retro 80s. Which, of
course, it's supposed to be. Not original but perfect for
those who like Nick Kershaw et al. Again, excellent voice
and production. Do you give masterclasses?? :O) [ Reply to This ]
Well Done &mdash 05/26/05 - 02:59:15 PM
I wasn't able to keep track of all the TUMi songs, but I'm sorry I missed this. Excellent. Especially that the TUMiloops are intergral to the song, not somehow slapped on. [ Reply to This ]

Your voice is incredible - this song reminds me of one of my
favorite groups: Depeche Mode
Beautiful work! [ Reply to This ]

On most of your posts... even though I have found them late... I don't expect folks who can sing like you, and produce and play at your level... to also write evocotive & mysterious lyrics... "every day is confection" "Nectar from the sky"...
Mr Spike you are indeeed the whole package

As always, great to hear your vocal. Your work here is very very nice. The music is killer (even though it's not my style). A great piece of work... One of your bests!
