Description:
This song is about two people who have long since separated and gone their seperate ways. After many years apart, the guy hears the name again and it brings back a ton of memories that had never really been forgotten, just placed to one side. It's basically about how you never forget your first love and how, by making contact again years later things will inevitably have moved on and although you know things will never be the same as they were, there's a history that can never be taken away and each will never forget the other. Massive thanks to ronnielong for creating the drum track and really helping me to get the feeling I was looking for. You can hear more of ronnielong's work here. So, how you doin' now? I heard you were in town and thought I'd phone. Has anything changed? It's impossible to know. But do me a favour, and tell me do you... Do you remember the night when we walked miles to get home late in the pouring rain? You got a blister from your shoe. Do you remember the way that you said you would never do those things again? That was the first time we saw through, the things we thought were true. So, your life's quite different now? You've got a different name, you live in a new town. Have you changed so much, from the girl I used to know? We may not be together, but I still see you... And though that night was short I've lived it over and over inside my head. And though the rain's not coming through my shoe I feel like I'm still there. And I still see the way you looked at me... Do you still see the way I looked at you? Do you remember the night when we walked miles to get home late in the pouring rain? You got a blister from your shoe. Do you remember the way that you said you would never do those things again? That was the first time that I knew, my heart belonged to you... Hardware:
