This is a great tune. Love the combinations of trumpet and flute(?) Vocal samples are hot. Very well produced. Original, as is doesn't really remind me of anything I have heard, the guitar almost brings me to something familiar. I really enjoyed this : )

How did I get over there? &mdash 04/20/05 - 02:32:59 PM
Well I can certainly see how you wandered from the
electronica into the rock instrumental catergory. I tend to
do the very same thing. Maybe its in the culture or the
blood or something like that.

This one is in the groove though, I love the mood and
atmosphere that this one gives. Great wine with dinner
type of music.

Seems like you have recorded it slightly on the lower side
though, and it certainly gives it the mellowness that it
deserves. The drums could maybe use a lightening or bit
of compression on them, although I am not familiar with
audacity as software, so I am not sure what I completely
talking about. I hope that you can understand my
criticism with the drums though. In other words, they
could stand to be put more into "their place" if you catch
my drift that way.

Really cool listen though. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you both :) Interesting, friend of mine who used to do some production long time ago told me something similar - drums related.

Well, I really enjoyed this. Went straight down to my "Chill out" playlist. Love the
delayed trumpets!

Nice themes... &mdash 04/21/05 - 03:47:47 AM
You've definitely got a style going; do you ever
experiement with putting other sections in that change
the chord patterns? I know there is a second pattern in
this - but something a little further away from your root
chords? I feel that it would feel great to the
listener - having established this groove - if you could
somehow leave it for a short while to something different
and then come back to it. That coming back home feel...
Know what I mean? But maybe you don't want to disturb
what is a really nice groove...

ooooohhhhhh &mdash 04/23/05 - 04:48:21 AM
Likin the trumpet. This is an interesting fusion of rock and
jazz and electronica...and it totally works. I also really like
when the vocals come in - they stand well without any real
lyrics, just simple and running nicely with the song. The
echoing keeps the ambient/chilled feel. Really enjoyed
listening - downloaded!

Cool track Baki.
Wonderful fusion of sounds here. I love that trumpet and
the effects you have applied. Nice vocals samples as well.

Just mirroring some comments from the chat &mdash 09/27/05 - 06:58:32 AM
First of all, even though the piece is just the one groove... you've still
done a nice job on mixing up the layers to keep it interesting. So even
though its the same chord pattern happening the whole time, theres
still something to listen to.

And as other people have said, you've got a nice jazz/fusion/latin
groove going here and I think that this song could really benifit from
some simple, tasteful improvisations, especially with the trumpet as its
not doing much at the moment. Theres a lot of jazz muso's that thrive
off this style of jamming, so it wouldn't be too hard to find someone to
help you. And as far as the guitar goes, it sounds like you could easily
do a little more yourself. Go for it and good work.

and a wonderful &mdash 12/20/06 - 02:12:57 PM
ambient place it is. The guitar has such a great tone. Just the right amount of fuzz and warmth. Well produced and mixed! I think your choices on the instrumentation help keep it interesting and grounded.
nice!

Very nice work &mdash 12/21/06 - 11:03:19 AM
why this song has lower ranking in votes is odd. Nice job on this.

I certainly have moods for this kind of music..they don't happen all the time.. but this is the best to listen to when you're tired and you just wanna sit on a comfy chair and put your legs up and drink some beer.... This is very well done... sounds pro, with all the right elements thrown in there... very soothing... not a lot of drama... just cool mellow soothing heavenly sounds massaging my bruised brain... love the wind instruments and the subdued drums! Nice meeting you at the chat, too, Baki!
