Description:
Ive been a bit depressed lately for one reason or another, and today has been no exeption, so I thought to myself "I know ill wright an a capella" as you do haha. Well it turns out that I quite like it, so I thought id stick it on here and see what you thought of it

Its about losing someone very dear to you, someone you have been very close to but know that you can never be that close to again.

Lyrics:
Theres something we need
Its something we cant quite live without
Like some inner worth
Like something we cherish open hearted

We need it to breath a little
It helps us through pain and suffering
The closeness inside
You never feel lost and broken

Nothing is Trivial
And you will only apritiate it
When its gone......

The closeness we feel
Conversation lasts for always
Without saying a word
Connections are deep inside

I could feel it everywhere
I went no matter how far
Not needing to call
But knowing that you were there

Nothing is Trivial
And you will only apritiate it
When its gone.....

harmonies &mdash 04/20/05 - 01:04:53 PM
I like the harmonies here. Some nice stuff. Would like to
hear more music like this with more music.

Thanks

I like the tempo here &mdash 04/20/05 - 06:50:30 PM
that continues silently in the spaces between your lovely
phrases. The melody is true, the harmonies correct,
precise.

'Other' is not a good category to be in. You might change
this to New Age Acoustic (kind of a catch-all genre) or
maybe Folk?

Inspiration often strikes quickly, as it did here. Very nice.

Good singing &mdash 04/23/05 - 09:51:16 AM
I hear your song from your heart. Your emotion comes
through.

That pinhole mic (right?) really does a pretty decent job.

Sometimes a cappella is all you need to put together a
really good song, and you've done that.

I like the picture.

Wow &mdash 04/23/05 - 11:44:22 AM
I've been going through your stuff in order - it keeps
getting better. Love the challenging harmonies that start
out tightly constricted and blossom out into a beautiful
release. Feels like an acapella intro to something.

loved it &mdash 04/24/05 - 07:53:02 PM
i gotta say, it's refreashing to hear an exceptional
female voice without anything getting in the way.
nice words too.

Goose Bumps! &mdash 06/01/05 - 03:55:19 PM

This is a treat,... &mdash 06/13/05 - 07:35:41 PM
...a lovely, brave treat. Just you and the Powerbook, huh?
Who can argue with THAT?

Were you and the Powerbook in a CATHEDRAL?

Very nice, and the splitting and resolution of the harmonies
IS ear-catching...

Neat.

Lovely &mdash 06/24/05 - 10:07:08 PM
Sounds like a WV folk song. They used to sit out on the
porch in the evening and sing a cappella and there were
some excellent melodies that evolved from that and were
passed down through the years. This is original, I know,
but would have fit in that genre.
Might check the spelling of apritiate......
Thanks for sharing your music.

I did it backwards &mdash 01/15/06 - 07:47:02 AM
Listened to the "Best Remix" first. Funny to do it that way! It's also
amazing how different the two cuts are. Your voice has a great dynamic
and you have very good pitch. I think the cathedral effect (whether
ambient or added later) is well-suited for the song. The Powerbook
hum (that is only evident during the single voice sections) is a touch
distracting, but I guess that's a "cost of doing business", as it were.
Thanks for sharing this one with the world!
