Description
Went to a job interview, felt out of touch with the times. Afterwards this was recorded in one live take. Added minor overdubs in GB.
The quality isn't the greatest, it's in it's raw state.

Lyrics
Verse 1
I was king before
And now I'm not so sure anymore
There was a time
When it all meant so much more

Chorus
I'm out of line
Is it me you're looking for
Dinosaur

Verse 2
I was kidding before
Hey, it's a living
Chore anymore
There was a time
When it all meant so much more

Chorus
I'm out of line
Is it me you're looking for
Dinosaur

Don't Change it!
I like the raw feel of this. I like the fast guitar with the slow cadence of the lyrics. It illustrates the point you are making about feeling behind the times.

Nice mix as well!

dl/8s!

Good One
Good straightforward tune. Little more production would
have helped. I really like the song and think you should
rerecord at some point. I think you guys are like me. You
would rather be songwriters than sound engineers.

Interesting
I think that this is a good little song, and I really like the
vocals..plaintive but not too sentimental. I think it would
be worth developing the production a bit...nothing too
radical but might be nice to hear a bit more separation
between the guitars and vocals. Maybe a little reverb too.
Thanks for sharing it

Aw...
I felt so bad for the singer. But I totally agree that it is "plaintive but not too sentimental" -- this could have been really self-pitying but isn't. Everything meshes nicely...sure, it could use some more production but I like it as is.

Wow did this strike a chord
You really hit something I can relate to on this one. Maybe
it's just a place in life that everyone gets to. When you
reflect back on the past feeling like there was a point in
time that you had sat at the throne of life and all of a
sudden without warning, the record of life somehow skips
and leaves you in this new place that seems like the land
of the dinosaur..... Is it called the "fall" season of life that
has caught me ?????
