Description:
It kills me to call this song "Soft Rock", but it's the closest genre I could find. I recorded this tune with my wife about three years ago so it's a bit dated. I've always liked it though, so I thought I'd post. There is a religious component to this, but for those who don't dig that type of thing, I'm not trying to prostelitize, this is just a song of personal devotion. Hope you like it. All real instruments, no loops, no synths.Lyrics:
You are worth the sum of everythingThe Earth, the sea, my pocket change Yet you offer out your love To those with nothing Would you take the broken heart? It's really all I have to give I feel I owe the universe I offer you my all....I'm giving you My Everything Would you weave this heart of straw Into a heart of gold? It seems to me that's what you do Make the worthless something new You are the Lord of everything All I have you've given me I am enslaved to your goodness I pledge my very breath Hardware:
Mac G3, Motu 2408, tascam da38's, assorted mics. Vocals recorded on a fabulous Rhode NTV, a mic I'd gladly recommend to anybody.Software:
Logic Audio Platinum 4 |

too bad that so far this one has been ignored. Such a
lovely, well-crafted piece. The harmonies are so close and
perfectly blended. I have no criticism to offer, (except
maybe some variation of the drums, and make sure you
don't lose those harmonies in the mix toward the end).
Downloaded. Excellent, hammhock.
