wow guitar &mdash 04/23/05 - 08:26:52 AM
I was going to say nice, whimsical guitar, but then the
lead came in....so now I say wow mister, you can play!
Vocals are quite muddy to me and difficult to understand.
I really love the tone of your voice though, so keep
singing, perhaps just work on enunciating and phrasing. I
also realise the mic may have played a role in that.
Lovely track.

wow guitar &mdash 04/23/05 - 10:24:24 AM
thank you.
my pronounciation was pretty bad.
if i did not refer to the lyric..i would also guessing the right word to sing it
back.
i was nervouse during the solo..again its a one off thing.
my biggest problem is i cannot repeat the exact solo if i would want take
another take. So besides its flaw..i guess remembering the
spntaneous moment during the recording was ..ok.
i guess ..again, to me its a sketch..

pc guitar cheap pc mic = brilliant &mdash 04/23/05 - 09:39:52 AM
Another gem. You can do no wrong in my book, I even
like the 'trick guitar' lead. Thanks for posting. Keep
posting.

(for some reason, the plus signs are missing from the title of previous post.
Should read "pc plus guitar plus cheap pc mic equals brilliant.") Oh, well.
Must be an ampersand issue. Call rschletty!

great guitar work &mdash 04/24/05 - 11:41:24 AM
Sounds tricky but fits in with the song nicely....just wish
the song had been a little longer! Nice stuff though!

Very nice work here... &mdash 04/24/05 - 11:54:46 AM
Yes. it is short, but what a lovely song. Very good job
setting a mood. LOVE the guitar playing. Awesome.
Yes...my only nit is the voice and clarifying it in some way
...but wow.
Got this one down in the overall mood and effectiveness.
Nice.

Terrific &mdash 04/24/05 - 05:12:01 PM
Fantastic playing- really!

I agree with the others that the vocal needs to be more
present. The song should also be longer... just left me
wanting more! Nice job!

Nimble fingers &mdash 04/25/05 - 05:48:39 AM
..and warm voice. Sure tickled my fancy. The rawness makes it very genuine.

Haunting haiku &mdash 04/25/05 - 08:43:57 AM
Haunting sound, wonderful halting meter, really well
conceived sound nicely performed. It is a little overly
repeated for my taste, almost like live playing trying to
approximate loops, accentuated by the too sudden end. I
think this is a great idea that you might consider
developing more? Otherwise, very cool sonic experiment.
Like haiku.

Sir,
appreciate the comment especially coming from high caliber musician like
you. Again, its a sketch made of my guitar plucking looped. I had problem to
maintain the timing. That was why i opted for the looping. However the
plucking was recorded twice both panned to extreme left n right. The rest
voice and solo i guess its too sponteinous and raw.
Thank you agin. i dont know abt developing it further...maybe. Not talented
enought to make longer song.

normally i did it on two tracks.

Otherworldly guitar. &mdash 04/25/05 - 11:15:07 AM
I agree it could use a little more mixing but I like the almost ghostly tone you have here.

Mellow longing &mdash 04/25/05 - 12:00:44 PM
This is very nice, but definitely too short. Great melody,
which needs a refrain with a slightly different bassline to
make it less repetitive. I liked the Spanish-guitar-like
picking near the end, but it should have been a little
softer, it didn't fit with the lamenting mood... if that was
the refrain, then you could continue the second part by
redoing the main tune and using the guitar for the melody
instead of your voice, maybe? Just an idea to make this
sweet song a little longer.
ttfn,
Drakonis
