Description:
This is an old favorite for me. Recorded it a number of years ago. The acoustic intro isn't as interesting as I'd like, but the remainder of the song I'm pretty pleased with. Hope you like.

Lyrics:
Is there a song I could sing
That would bridge the gap between
You and me

My hearts so very proud
But my body can be willed
Would it be enough?

If I lift my hands
If I bow my knees
If I lay my pride down at your feet
Would it be enough?

When I've proven to the world
I can't do it on my own
Have I failed?

Or have I really found a way
To sing an honest song of praise
Because you are enough

ok &mdash 04/23/05 - 11:14:54 AM
great vocal performance, great lyrics, great production.
one comment, er, 2.
1 the vocal melody really threw me. it sounds like you
wrote it in another key or sang a harmony of the real
melody, its fighting with the chords in my ear.

the other thing is the synth stuff seems to have a similar
thing going on. i dig the somewhat atonal stuff, but the
strings sound like the chords they make are fighting with
the guitar.

but it's seriously the beginings of a great worship song.
and i say beginings beccausei really think you can turn
this into something (not everything is as easily
salvagable)

This is another excellent tune. Love the melody on the 3rd
line of each verse. (If I was editing this like it was copy, I
would change the word "bow" to "bend".) Very catchy
piece.

(Just now read the previous post about the melody. I
guess it's a matter of opinion, but I love the melody,
nothing about it threw me. Seemed fresh, unusual,
infectious.)

p.s. if this was in the Religious genre, I would have given it a 10 for that
category. Excellent Christian music.

Unique, tender, &mdash 04/25/05 - 05:36:39 AM
......and uplifting. I personally loved the melody and the floating sound effects. This is probably my favorite song of yours so far.

like it &mdash 04/27/05 - 09:01:57 AM
you have a cool voice on this tune, I'll bet you have a cool
voice on a lot of yer tunes. I'll have to keep on the lookout
for your name here at MJ.

Nice going

Like that slow dancing of the vocal and guitar especially
with it's theme at the start when the electric guitar start
and vocal start. Cool, cool.

Consdier dropping all keyboards from the track &mdash 06/30/05 - 11:35:52 AM
Wonderful songwriting. Your guitar playing and voice can
carry this, the bass is a nice addition. The drum track is a
bit brittle and bright, perhaps too forward. But the synth
adds a muddle that gets in the way in an out-of-sync sort
of way that nearly destroys this gorgeous track. Consider
redoing it with a different synth concept, or no keyboards
at all? Add a guitar solo instead, and fills?

Great song... &mdash 11/08/05 - 08:21:37 AM
I wouldn't use the keyboards... they feel kind of forced... out of place... brushed drums would also add to the warmth of the tune...

I like the guitars a lot... :)

Great song... Well performed and sung, good melody... I agree with the
others about the high string synths... you don't need them and they
distract (and seem a little dated). I loved the watery electronic sounds
that creep in, though...

Did you play all the stuff &mdash 03/29/06 - 09:51:12 PM
What is providing the drum track... I'm really enjoying your stuff... an
original fresh breath
