Nice "recording" &mdash 04/27/05 - 10:49:42 AM
My only negative critique would be that your recorder
playing very slightly lags the rest of the instruments,
especially noticeable on your very last note... you may
want to realign them a bit. Other than that, masterfully
played! Loved all the trills and grace notes, very fun. You
obscurely mentioned in your bio "performing and
teaching"... what other instruments do you play? And
what do you teach, just out of curiosity? Will we hear you
play Bolivian pan pipes, or Japanese shakuhachi too? Well,
not to Telemann of course... or wait... maybe that would
be interesting!

Drakonis

Nice "recording" &mdash 04/27/05 - 11:50:46 AM
Thank you for your comments. I do have a website pan-flute.com that you
might enjoy. On the Telemann I was just trying out the new sounds and
really just picked up the recorder and played it... it was a quick run through,
not my best playing :) I'll post something in a few minutes that I did on a
panflute, the curved style instrument. It is originally a medival dance and I
was playing around making it a kind of reggae pop thing. I loving playing all
kinds of woodwinds... mostly the wooden types with no keys. I'll call this
pipe
piece "The Mad Piper" just for fun.

Aloha ... brad

Lovely recorder playing... &mdash 04/27/05 - 11:37:36 AM
I'd prefer the recorder slightly higher in the mix against
the keyboard... because it's got a lovely rich tone.

Lovely recorder playing... &mdash 04/27/05 - 12:22:26 PM
Thanks... I am always afraid that the high pitch will cut through too much so I
tend to bring it down a bit... and it sounds different on each system.. I guess
now days we need to mix for ipods as much as anything?
