Description
As most know by now, Trent Reznor of NIN is giving away GB sessions of their latest single "the hand that feeds". here's my twist on the whole thing.
I used to be hooked on Pretty Hate Machine. Wouldn't leave my tape player. I wouldn't listen to anything else. It was a drug. Same thing with Broken. Completely rude in everyway. Loved it! The downward spiral for me as a NIN fan came with the release of The Downward Spiral. Lost touch since then. But after listening to this new NIN tune over and over and with the added pleasure of discecting it, much of the NIN nostalgia and fond memories are coming back. I'm for sure gonna check out the rest of the album. The lengths Trent will go to just to win me back as a fan are nothing short of amazing. wow. what a guy.
BTW - for those of you who have not heard the original you can check it out here:

I must be honest upfront and say I haven't heard the
original (thanks for the link) - but this sounds
fantastic. It's got good dynamics, with the louder and
softer parts cleverly offsetting each other, and the
vocal sounding like it's being shouted from
somewhere outside the room but still managing to
dominate the song. Very skillfully done ... you have a
good ear for what sounds right where. I really like the
ending, where it all builds up to a crescendo and
then just skips out. Brilliant.
