I think... &mdash 04/28/05 - 11:49:54 PM
I think was the soundtrack to my dream last night...
This is, how do you say on your planet - very sklorb!
This piece made me grow hair on my eyes. I loved it!

This is a really nice collaboration, the synths, guitars and
ambient vocals work really nicely

who are these people? &mdash 04/29/05 - 02:15:39 AM
sounds like you've been playing together for years. loving
the blends that occur throughout the song-the way the
guitars work around the bassy syths, or the wailing vocals
follow the guitars.. & how everything can converge for a
sec, then continue to fly on by. synchronicity

it still feels like it needs something on top, like there's
more room that's just not being used. i would like to hear
a more dominent layer of vocals & maybe a grindier guitar
riff to drive it (pass mysti the mic, boys-sounds like you
kept her in the closet!)

Enjoyed the Bass Heavy Mood &mdash 04/29/05 - 05:54:17 AM
However, it seems such a shame to have Mysti's
contribution to any song limited to what's the equivalent
of a string synth part.
The overall integration of parts was very well done - it
doesn't sound like a bunch of sound files being passed via
iChat and thrown together. ;)

Excellant &mdash 04/29/05 - 06:59:29 AM
collaboration. I hear fusion music with many textures. I
enjoyed Mystifieds haunting vocal, and Alimars jaco
pastorius type bass playing and the playful exchanges
between the guitars and bass. The composition will
delight jazz/prog music lovers!

Very cool bass work &mdash 04/29/05 - 07:00:51 AM
This is a very smooth concept sound. I was initially
disappointed that Peter wasn't singing, since I dig his
voice and thought he and Alimar would make a great
duet. (Consider adding lyrics?) Altho it is very well
performed and mixed, everything sounds like a
wonderfully rich music bed waiting for the lead voice to
take it to a more compelling level, like a film score that is
not trying to be too intrusive. Mystified's vocals are
gorgeous, reminding me even more of sountracks from
the 70s. I was surprised this was a MJ-United project, too,
since the last projects invited dozens to join in.

Put 'em in a blender! &mdash 04/29/05 - 07:10:26 AM
Mix on high, and pour out ! Pretty cool collab!

Needs more of Mysti's Lyrical talents, but pretty cool otherwise!

nice &mdash 04/29/05 - 07:28:37 AM
Lots of nice guitar stuff in there, like that. I can hear those
voices again. Those high vocal sounds really are kool.

great going

odd progressions &mdash 04/29/05 - 10:56:34 AM
interesting resolutions, quirky percussion, ethereal Myst...
just a little abstract for me. It was rather interesting, but
not as cohesive as I like my music to be, sounded like you
were trying things out without a specific direction in mind.
On the positive side, despite it meandering a bit overall,
each of the parts fit in very nicely together. I agree on the
killer-tight collaboration, it was as if I was listening to
veteran band members who had played together for years.
Guitar playing, synths, sfx, vox, were nicely interwoven.
That was great about this!

Clarification &mdash 04/29/05 - 11:01:46 AM
Sorry, first I said it wasn't as cohesive as I like, then I said it was a tight
collab... What I really meant by that was that the overall piece did not seem to
have a cohesive message, it meandered... but the individual performers were
great, and the mixing/editing into a whole was masterful... its just the result
was a bit fluffy and abstract, more of a nimbus than a cumulous... but that's
just my ear. :-) Sorry for not being cohesive in that last message!

Drakonis

Hats off &mdash 04/29/05 - 11:09:02 AM
for this arrangement. Great composition! All the players
play/sing wonderfully within the structure. I like all the
interesting twists. It reminds me of those cool '70s fusion
pieces by Return to Forever, sans instrumental
pyrotechnics.

Sci-fi lullabies &mdash 04/29/05 - 01:35:38 PM
Really good mix of sounds and a great composition.
Would have liked to have heard the ethereal vocals a bit
further up in the mix and maybe the guitar a bit further
back (the playing is really cool though!). Very nice
collaborative effort

Bass Ackwards &mdash 04/29/05 - 08:58:02 PM
the question is... can you play it live?

Very imaginative... it's sounds quite different from the
early version I heard. Cool concept... especially the
backwards guitars, etc.

Glad to see you finally found a place for Synco to show off
that pink thong.

Bass Ackwards &mdash 04/29/05 - 11:29:27 PM
Hehe. In my case, no, I couldn't play my guitar parts live, at least not without
sitting down and really practicing them. I had to do the guitar tracks in short
sections to get them right because I was playing beyond my normal ability.
Alimar's base melody structure posed a real challenge for me and made me try
things I'd never done before. Always good to push it.

In late on this &mdash 05/01/05 - 09:20:19 PM
Been outta town, just now getting around to listening to
this cool piece. My only suggestion is to bring Cat up in
the mix, she seems a bit wasted. (You know what I mean.)

Excellent work.

This could be from... &mdash 05/01/05 - 11:18:28 PM
...a twisted fantasy movie like The Labyrinth (which is one
of my faves, so that's a compliment!). Really cool.
