Description:
A fun dance inspired from the 14th century and reworked in a modern setting.
I played this on a beautiful tenor panflute. By the way if anyone is interested in learning and getting a good panflute, please contact me and I'll help you get going. I know it can be hard to find good instruments. (pan-flute.com)

Definately World &mdash 04/30/05 - 03:01:31 AM
Pan pipes beg World. I imagine newage to be usually less
rhythmic. Yes, I know there is rhythm in new age, this is
only my opinion. Very nicely done. I like the subtle guitat
up arpeggio near the end. It slowly grows in dominance
and fades at the end. I will add this to my play list :-)

Better &mdash 04/30/05 - 05:02:51 AM
I like this more than than your original version - it sounds
more relaxed, less forced.
World sounds fine.

Great production, Brad. Wonderful to see you back. Yes,
I'd put it in World too, altho New Ager listeners will surely
enjoy it.

Very pretty. &mdash 05/02/05 - 12:29:01 AM
Love the tune...is it original or based on a folk song? I ask because it calls a certain song to mind, but I don't know which one specifically and a lot of those Celtic tunes sound similar. I really enjoyed the variety of instruments and the different ways you orchestrated the melody. I might take a touch of the echo off the flute as it sounds slightly overproduced as compared with the rest of the instruments.

My vote would be New Age.

Very pretty. &mdash 05/02/05 - 09:44:34 AM
Thank you very much.. The song was inspired from a 14thCent. Italian dance known as a Saltarello or Jump Dance. I altered it and added a B section and tried to bring it into a modern setting. What is really funny is I was once such a purist I would not play a concert with a microphone... and now look what I am doing.. Having Fun!!

rocks &mdash 05/04/05 - 10:33:19 AM
Maybe I have rocks in my head, by I can't identify the madness in the piece. It seems sweet and thoughtful to me. I like the way you have taken an ancient air and brought it into the 21st century by making it your own. I used to have a wonderful Peruvian panpipe album - your flute playing brought back memories of that.
