Description:
A collaboration with TheTiler. A nice light song. Pretty much it's about moving forward. You never know what tomorrow will bring. So you just have to wait and see.

Lyrics:
We’ll See – February 16, 2005

VERSE
I’ve had enough
It’s been tough
Melt away
Sun shine today
Need to see the light
Everything will be all right

CHROUS
I look around
And I see
Beautiful people
Smiling at me

I smile back
Before I leave
Who knows where I’ll be
Tomorrow we’ll see

VERSE
You never know
How far you’ll go
When to stop
And when to slow
Come here and Go there
I’ll go anywhere

I’d like to move
Leave the bad behind
Move ahead with my mind
Hoping to see that light
Everything will be alright

CHROUS
I look around
And I see
Beautiful people
Smiling at me
I smile back
As I turn to leave
Who knows where I'll be
Tomorrow we’ll see

I like your voice &mdash 05/01/05 - 11:06:31 PM
It has a nice homy feel.

I don't want to vote because I am playing. But I sure love
hearing your voice :)

Good going

Thanks so much fairymagic17 for singing with the guitar

Yay! &mdash 05/01/05 - 11:10:38 PM
OK I was hoping you'd like it. I'm such an amature at this recording stuff. I'm learning as I go. But I'm so happy you liked it. It was a pleasure singing to a real live recording instead of a loop :P Thanks so much! If you have anything else I could write lyrics to I'd love to hear it. Once again thank-you :)

Love the lightness of the song, and the hopeful lyrics.
Well done.

really nice &mdash 05/02/05 - 09:30:43 AM
I really enjoyed this one. Nice flowing lyrics and excellent
singing. Great playing by Tiler. I think the guitar is
slightly overpowering the vocals though. Bring the vocals
up a touch or the guitar down a touch, whichever is more
appropriate. Watch out at the end; your vocal track noise
cuts off abruptly at the end after your last line. A lot of
people here make this mistake. Either use the gate to cut
out the noise between phrases or at least make sure to
fade out the the ambient/line noise before cutting the
track. Nothing makes that subtle noise stand out more
that when it suddenly cuts out.

Again, I really like the song and your performance.
Thanks for letting me hear it on this sunny morning.

Great voice, guitar &mdash 05/02/05 - 09:39:00 AM
You have a roughness to your vocal that is very appealing.
Great for this song. I agree with Peter that in places the
guitar is a little too loud. And overall there is a real
brightness (almost too bright) to the sound. Like it needs
more mid-range and less treble in the mix. I'm no expert,
not sure how to fix that, but I think a filter on the master
track might work?

Nice piece.

Great voice, guitar &mdash 05/02/05 - 09:48:45 AM
Thanks so much for the comments! I think the song went pretty well too. Recording vocals is my favorite part of creating a song. Those are some really good tips about the ending and the fact that the guitar is too loud in some places. I'll experiment a bit more and perhaps post another version of this. I never knew how to use the Gate before. I'll try and clean up the ending that snips off too. All very good suggestions that I never would have picked up without your help. Thanks everyone!

This performance... &mdash 05/02/05 - 01:23:45 PM
...has a coffeehouse feel. I don't think it's always
important to have a studio sound (unless you are trying to
sell it, of course...). I like the genuine feel and almost live
sound to this. Nice work, both of you.

Great Mix &mdash 05/02/05 - 04:11:51 PM
It has an excellent feel!

It is a good "get back on the road" kind of song.

Sunny stuff... &mdash 05/03/05 - 07:22:07 AM
I agree with pgreenstone about the guitar level. The
playing has a great swing but your fine voice voice needs
to be nearer the top.

It's been said already &mdash 05/03/05 - 08:07:58 PM
Excellent song- played and sung very well. This is a very
sweet tune. I was really drawn to the positivity of this
song... sounds like you had a smile on your face while
singing.

Bring the vocal forward more is possible. Did you double
the vocal track on this? This is just a little mixing away
from being ideal!

Great combo! &mdash 05/06/05 - 05:55:45 AM
What a great mix of wonderful talent. I love both of your stuff. It's a pleasure to listen to you together. You both do each other a great justice. Well done. Is there another one coming?

Hey Yeah... &mdash 05/30/05 - 08:45:45 PM
What I like about your vocals is that they are unique.
There is an ease and a joy to your singing. There are
some intonation things that at first my Left-Brain said
"little flat there, little sharp there." And in most cases, my
left-brain would have a point. But with you, its very clear
that you have a great ear, and so my right-brain would
defend by calling it a "relaxed" style. Either way it fits this
song perfect.

I slightly disagree with Emily's comment about not
needing a studio sound, and only because I would lurve to
hear the full tonal range of your voice as recorded using a
good mic. Both you and Fairy Beth (any relation?) offer the
same dilemna--standout female vocalists, pinhole mics...

Oh, and the guitar playing is as great as it always is, Tiler-
man. Again, I'd love to hear more presence and less
volume, if that makes any sense. I'm getting some
amazing sound from my J-45 by simultaneously recording
the signal from my bridge pick-up and mic-ing the tone-
hole. Nice work!

Powerful Chorus &mdash 06/04/05 - 10:38:52 AM
The first verse sounded a little hesitant and uncertain to
me but then you came in with the chorus and pow I was
hooked. Great voice that will only get better. I hear
something in your vocals that is lacking in so many others
- real, honest feeling. I agree the guitar backing was a
little loud in places and perhaps you were trying to follow
what the guitar was doing too closely. Maybe a more
sensitive backing is needed for your kind of voice. But
overall very nice song.
