Description:
Open Collab With Skipper. Wish I could have brought the vocals up a notch but it worked out alright in the end. Had fun with the percussion on this song and the guitar at the end.

Lyrics:
Skipper Wrote and Sang the Lyrics

It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be ok
There's no place I'd rather be
Anyway

So many miles
Between our distant smiles
So many memories
Of different lives we lead

It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be ok
There's no place I'd rather be
Anyway

Oh it's amazing
Makes me want to sing
This one's for you
The things you make me do for you

Alright
Ok
AnyWay

It's gonna be alright

Hardware:

Great choice of song art &mdash 05/04/05 - 11:58:32 PM
Very cool! The guitar noodling is moody and edgy. Kinda gave me a retro feel, like Golden Earing or something. The vocals are very good (maybe a little soft) but I did find the vocal melody a bit repetitive. I liked the drum pattern and charater as well. The kick might have been a little high in the mix. Song art is a great choice... driving through the rain in an emotional funk.

I think this takes the original to a whole new level, love the guitar!

Tension wires! &mdash 05/05/05 - 12:59:16 PM
Nice mix between the soft melodic vocals and the rock guitar, like the panning on the solo too. Wouldn't have minded hearing the drums kick in a bit more halfway through maybe.. nice stuff

This is heavy &mdash 05/06/05 - 06:43:34 PM
alright. Luv when the lead kicks in. Percussive elements added sounded a bit quick. But the darker melodic overtones create a new groove that is intense and cool. Excellent guitar playing. Thanks for adding to this experiment.
