Description:
Note on Forgotten Art: a mix of wanting to solve the prob of doing a song in GB with two differing bpm’s along with a muse born of my sad realization that though the human race has grown leaps and bounds intellectually it still seems to have quite missed the boat to the shores of solving the big puzzle of how to treat each other to christmas eve every day.

Lyrics:
LadyStar
now here this:

Travel Westward young man
Sift those grains of sand
From that Western Star
Hallowed Stratosphere
Is there anyone else here
On this Western Star

No matter where you think you are
You’re apart of my LadyStar
Ah Yes You Are

No matter who you think you are
You’re apart of my LadyStar
And The Forgotten Art

The Forgotten Art
Before this plebeian rabble rushes to battle here this:

It’s funny how we worry
It’s funny how we weep
It’s funny how we quarrel on the finity
Of an endless sea

It’s sad the way we’re troubled
It’s sad the way we fight
It’s sad the way we travel
toward the night
In our search for pure daylight

The forgotten art of remembering
Is all we need to brake free
Remember it and you’re gonna get there
And all the things you learn
You’ve known already anyway
But then you worried You lacked faith
And you wobbled

So don’t wobble
{LEAD}

I don’t know why I bother
praying while you sleep
Don’t know how we can question
all this love
so ad infinitumly

The forgotten art of remembering
Is all we need to brake free
Remember it and we’re gonna get there

And all the things you learn
You’ve known already anyway

Where Love is buried
We all bleed the same
So what’s the squabble
You just forgotten

odd in a good way &mdash 05/08/05 - 03:23:15 PM
This is a fun song, very odd but good. Interesting mix of
singing styles. Somehow, I can really imagin this working
well in the soundtrack to some quirky movie.

I hope you will continue to post more of your music over
here at MacJams. I've enjoyed your other stuff over at
iComp.

almost Randy Newman &mdash 06/15/05 - 12:32:39 PM
I especially dug the McCartney "It's funny" section. Its too
bad you vocals seem sort of buried; otherwise they have a
very Randy Newman feel. They sound much better on the
"I don't know" bridge. Very enjoyable tune. Love the fun,
whimsy, wit, old style Vaudeville mood.
