Description
Penned in half an hour on Election Night in the UK. Combines big, dumb blues soloing with anarcho-punk ranting, and the wife on spanish shouts!

Lyrics
Tony Blair is back in power
We couldn't stop him at all
Tho' we all went down to the polling station
We couldn't stop him at all

And him and his mate, Goergie
Will take us to the end of the line
'Hello' Georgie', we're ready for war.
We'll take our orders in texan this time

Well I dunno, but i've been told
The streets of heaven are lined with coca cola
And I'd go so far to say it's in the stars
We're gonna get destroyed before much longer

Gotta fight it! Can't accept it! Fight!

He's the man and he's got a plan
To stop your children growing any older
Phone up the bank, and order more tanks
We're going off to war just like they wanted

Don't accept it! Wanna Fight it!

(spanish swearing)

(First verse again)

post punk energy
Like this...the production is a bit muddy but frankly it
doesn't really matter. If anthing it enhances the late 70's
post punk feel of the tune! Nice and topical too...

not bad
I like the writing and your singing. The production is quite
shabby but not bad for a half hour's work. The percussion is
pretty buried and could use some finesse for sure. Some
great lyrics in there. I love the "We'll take our orders in texan
this time" line.

As an American who lost out in a presidential election
recently despite the obsurdity of the choice, all I can say is
welcome to the world of faux democracy.

Thanks, folks
For an off the cuff song, I actually quite like this number -
worth coming back to and recording more meticulously.

The muddiness/fuzziness is partially due to the fact it's
an accoustic guitar played electric. The right tools would
have had the big, ballsy 'ringing out' sound I was looking
for.

Hmm, that Ephiphone Sheraton on ebay.... I wonder....

from another texan..
i'm lovin the grindy sound on this. great lyrics, too. seems
like you got too close to the mic in a couple places-
fortunately enough, you can get away with this in punk
rock! heheh. very cool song

Roll on the revolution!
A few rough edges but plenty of energy. I completely
share your anger about the Iraq war ... let's hope Blair
gets kicked out by his own party soon, otherwise I
shall be going to throw bricks at Downing Street
myself.

Heheh
Nice lyrics here. This one deserves a cleaner production, it's a good song.
