Yeah, you've got a good foundation going here. The
high jangly sound makes a nice contrast with the low
synth sounds. Definitely worth developing this
further. It needs a less abrupt ending - but I expect
you already knew that.

Ok, some ideas: The perc track seems too shuffle,
country rock and not enough dance, and repeats without
fills. The bass synths distort on occasion and rattles my
speakers, be careful of levels. A nice loop-based music
bed but needs a lead, something to capture my ears. The
track ends abruptly, making the construction feel out of
balance and reminds me it is loop-based (and loops don't
change); consider fading out.

Thanks for taking the time. However, I did say at the start that this was
"unfinished", just the basics. There is no intro and outro obviously.
Also, this is not loop based in the way I think you mean it: everything is
programmed in by myself, and the even sounds are my creation by and large.
The only way you might call it loop based is if your referring too the repetitive
"ostinatos" that make up the piece: but these are things that come with the
genre.
You are right about the levels though, I ifnd the finishing up tidying side of
producing the most dull and challenging, but I should have them out for the
final edit. Expect a flip side too.
