Description:
A song about Janey.

I've been taped some pretty folk tunes and it's slow-going as I'm trying to go for professionalism. As that gets frustrating sometimes I've made another off the cuff punk number, which took just a few minutes.

First, cut'n'paste drums for miles, then make up words and make noise with accoustic guitar until the drums run out. Then come back with the Speedster AU and create off-key bass noise.

Upload.

Lyrics:
Janey went to school one day
Janey didn't fit in
Got bored to tears in double maths
So they filled her full of ritalin

They called for the school psychologist
Who took them all for mugs
'She needs therapy and talking cures!'
'And a great big pile of drugs'

Is that totally necessary?
She just looks bored to me...
'I afraid it's deadly serious
She has A-H-D-D-D-D-D

Well, janey's joined the living dead
They've medicalised her soul
She's done more shit than Keith Richards
And hasn't even rocked and rolled

Me, oi come from zummerzeh
Oi'm pretty thick you see
Tho' oi moight be dumb, with moi mentel sums
You ain't flippin' drugging me!

Just say no kids, watch your step
Don't do dope or 'E's
Get it all from your school nurse
And get messed up for free

(first verse again)

Sounds a lot like 1977 &mdash 05/10/05 - 02:19:45 PM
This is how lots of local bands sounded back in 1977. Love the vocals, really London, dressed in Carnaby Street stuff and safety pin-cheeks. Ends just like most songs ended, in disbelief.
Really fun.

Wooh, this is breezy and energetic. You've got me
pogo-ing round my living room. Great stuff. Love it!

Authentic sounding &mdash 05/15/05 - 09:24:52 AM
not over-produced but stays true to the original punk
sound from the 70's. Hard to believe you used an acoustic
on this... good way to use the tools at hand.

so much truth &mdash 05/15/05 - 09:46:43 AM
Gad, so much truth eltopo

just like sleeping pills, you can get sucked into them if
you have insomnia like i do and it can make it worse. I was
taking sleeping pills for about a year thinking that I
needed it. But now after not using it for months I feel like I
don't need it. And if on occassion I get up too early, it's
not the end of the world. In other words it's epidemic. Big
corporations with their large sums of money can buy
advertising time and schools and people of all ages and
shapes can get suck into their vortex big-time.

I love your formula... &mdash 05/17/05 - 12:44:48 AM
...for constructing a song. Cool punky vocals with Bowie-
ish guitar. Yeah.
