Description:
This is guitar song that i wrote for a contestant on
"VH-1 DIVAS". The young lady didn't make the cut in the
ATLANTA,GA. try-out's.But the two songs i gave her were still
appreciated by her and her management team. This song comes
in at just 3:00 min., so it's perfect for radio,t.v., or movies.
I have the rights to this song, and plan on including it on my cd
"LOVE OPERETTA".
The song has a "INDIA IRIE" vibe.
almost like her song: (BROWN SKIN)
I patterned the song after Darius Rucker (Hootie and the blowfish).

soulful R & B. I love it. (as does Skipper). You've got
the goods in this song. Fine singing and just the
right easy motion rhythm. Nice song writing. I hope
to hear more. This is the kind of music I started out
playing in the sixties (tenor sax) ... very cool sound,

your voice is fantastic. good song as well. i didn't feel the
instrumental performance was on par with the vocals
though. your voice is very expressive and dynamic and i
think the music could be even more expressive and
dynamic. I'd also check the intonation on your guitar,
sounded a little pitchy at times. I'm being real nit picky
here cuz this tune could be over the top! you gots lots of

I really love this. You have a great voice and way of using
it. The music is warm and full and sets a great mood.
Most R&B I hear these days turns me off, lacking in
sincerity and swimming in heavy gravy, but this song is a
pearl.

The ending seems oddly abrupt with a lot of dead air
after. I'm not sure if the ending was supposed to go on a
little longer and got cut accidentally early. I think the
track may be peaking a little bit. Other than that,
production sounds pretty tight.

A really nice listen.

I really like the positve feedback, thanks.
I often post a "hot" song on the internet. Some
listeners say it comes across better ? The extra
space at the end is me not hitting " stop" fast
enough. I agree with your assessment about
" gravy " (over production). My era of singers
took a different approach to making records.
Once again, thanks for the listen. Maybe we can
work together on something one day!

Listen man, I think you need to get a band, an engineer,
and a label. Your voice and your song writing are that
good. Here's the thing, out of tune, repetative guitar
lines, cliche synth lines, and a lots of clipping parts
detract from what is obviously a wealth of talent. Properly
recorded, I could listen to you sing over and over. 9-6-8
-8.

I prefer the older production style too - I think it let the

I hear the hotness in the recording, but it doesn't bother

This is really great stuff, awesome vocals and a top tune. I
do think the vocals and instruments seem to peak a bit at
times which is a little distracting. That is really a
production issue which could be sorted out faily easily..
The ending is a bit abrupt too. But hey what a
performance!

Good stuff. You definitely have a very expressive voice and
excellent tone. As mentioned in other posts if the musical
backing was up to the standard of the vocals you would
have a Gem here. Consider doing some Collabs with some
other musicians to give the musical tracks a Pro touch. If
you ever need some Keys on your track I%u2019m willing to
