I grew up in Lovington, New Mexico until the age of 8 and my family and I moved to Naples Florida and I did the rest of my growing there. I was exposed to music at an early age. My brother and father both play guitar and sing. My first band was called Opus 7 and we played covers from bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chili Pepprs and Black Crowes. I formed Resolution with fellow mac jammer Hectorious when I was 17. We stayed together for about 6 years, made 2 full length albums opened shows for I Mother Earth(Twice!), BTO and Edgar Winter, Type O Negative, Tonic, Solution A.D and many others. After the dissolution of Resolution, I formed The Mike Rogers Band and toured extensively and made one album. After four years with that project I formed "Wattwuzzat" with the fantastically funky Hectorious on the bass once again and we made S.W.Floridas booties shake for a while. During this time I flew to San Francisco and make a record of these songs with producer Scott Mathews who has produced and played with the likes of Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Robert Cray, Bonnie Raitt, Roy Orbison, Elvis Costello and Van Morrison. After the release of the Wattwuzzat material the band took a turn for the worse and it was dissolved. I picked up the pieces once again and began writing and recording with the wonderfully artistc and soulful Heather Brooks. I am currently putting new material together for my next album and just finished co producing singer/songwriter Heather Brooks new album entitled "Turn it over" of which I play sax, bass, guitar, keys and sing as well. Heather and I are looking forward to our showcase in October at the Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, GA. As some of you may know the Atlantis Music Conference is a chance to showcase your goods in front of many influential music businness players and it is where a lot of bands have been signed to major and indie record lables so we are hoping to play our best and turn some heads, maybe ink some deals...who knows. Thanks so much for dropping by, peace and blessings to you all. Ciao!

Music Background I'm eternally a child of funky soul music. I do believe that any music, when played with fiery conviction, and passionate intensity is soul music. Some people see it just as a label such as Ray Charles plays "Soul Music" or James Brown is the "Godfather of Soul" well, true as that may be, all music is soul music when you get down to it..can I hear an amen! I've been wittness to some bluegrass and country music that had so much fire and soul that you don't know whether to run for the hills or weep. My life changed forever when I heard his royal badness himself "Prince" for the first time, his astonishing command of all the instruments as well as performance inspired me to no end and made me pursue the path of multi-instrumentalist/producer/writer..wearer of many hats. My musical world also blew up when I heard The Red Hot Chili Peppers album "bloodsugarsexmagik". I spend many nights disecting flea, john and anthonys quirky funk and putting my own flavor on it. I was also always enamored by great jazz music. I started out at the age of 10 on saxophone and my first heros were David Sanborn and Charlie Parker. Soon after I began to devour the guitar and bass and learing singing and writing as well. My musical spectrum continues to change as I am involved in several projects. I just returned from playing to sold out shows in Bosnia with blues guitarist and singer/songwriter Danny Shepard. I also play jazz fusion guitar, bass and sax band called Funky Sea, Funky Dew which is a jazzy soulful funk band which also features the incredible drummer extroidinaire Darrell Nutt and one of the baddest dudes to ever lay hands on a keyboard Brad Brown who is also playing bass keys. I also have the awesome priviledge of playing guitar, sax and singing with the amazing Heather Brooks so I'm having a pretty great time with all my projects. Currently I am now back in my small studio putting my producer/songwriter hat on once again and working up another full length album which will be out before the end of this year. This one should be fun, combining the old school funk, some neo soul jazz and upbeat soul rock that has become my trademark. Anyway, that's it for now, thanks for dropping by let me know what you think of my music. All the best, peace and love to you and yours. Ciao!
