Living in Alabama. I was a music major at a small liberal arts school in central Alabama. Graduated in 04. I've been married for 10 years and I am in the steel business. I am basically doing 1 of 3 things in my spare time. 1. Watching t.v shows with my wife. Is it just me or has t.v. improved by 1000% in the last 15 years?? 2.Motorcycle camping. That is basically like backpacking except instead of walking I ride a motorcycle. I ride 10 to 12k miles a year. 3. Screwing around on garageband. I will get started on something and before I know it 8 hours has passed, I hadn't eaten anything and I am still in my underwear.

Music Background Started off taking piano lessons at a young age. In 6th grade before school, I would go hide in the band room closet and mess around with all the instruments there. I taught my self how to play scales on all the brass instruments. 6th grade is when I officially started playing percussion although I was beating on pots and pans forever. I taught myself how to play electric bass in high school. I had a nearly full scholarship to college for percussion. (that college was desperate) I taught myself how to play guitar in my dorm room. For a while after I graduated I was almost a full time musician while holding a day job. I was teaching lessons, playing gigs and did some studio time for different local artists. I was getting tired of it all and I had to make a choice, run my family business or become a full time musician. The opportunity was there for me to play music full time but I chose the business. I think I made the right decision. I really didn't like teaching lessons or playing at two different churches every Sunday, which is basically the way of a full time musician in the south. I do miss playing bar gigs but most of the people who I played with have all moved out of town either to Nashville or New York. I play in a "dad band" called The Buzzkillingtons. It is a stress free way to go jam out on 60's, 70's and 80's songs. We play twice a year but "practice" (mostly just sit around and slam a few dozen beers down) a few times a month. Our declined Wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:The_Buzz_Killingtons#The_Buzz_Killingtons I am kind of a recluse so I LOVE sitting around at my house in front of my computer creating music. I often will spend a whole weekend doing this.
