Bio:
I'm a Philly guy who migrated west in the 70's. After a few years in Colorado, settled in San Luis Obipo, CA, in '79. Started listening to jazz, folk and R&B in the early 60's on WHAT AM/FM, then hooked into rock with the British Invasion. Went to the Newport Jazz Festival out of high school in '66, Woodstock with Bud, my brother and collaborator, in '69. Dug great live music all over the east back in those days. Definitely blessed to have been there. Play some guitar and banjo, but mostly have been writing all these years. Early influences the Beats and Romatic poets, life the biggest influence for a long time now. Wasn't until December '06 that Bud and I started to collaborate. We're having a blast! Saint Jack said you can't teach an old maestro a new tune, but if he'd stuck around longer he might have felt differently. Like Bud says, one song at a time.
