Three Numbers (Collab: Bouchard, Flynn, Atwood)

Description
Riding the crest of the wave of Number-mania, here is another mix of Mungo's groundbreaking landscape, "Number." This is actually a collaboration of sorts with Mungo and Jim Bouchard, a combination of "Number" (the original by Mungo), "Numb and Number" (an adaptation by Jim Bouchard), and "Mungo's Number" (my own version).

In this piece, the three "Numbers" are layered; the mix actually alternates between them. Hope you enjoy.

Trip To Mars
We just got off the ship and are walking around. Aren't
those pyramids cool! And say that Face is incredible. Whoa
is that a flying saucer? Oh, excuse me just drifted off
there. Sometimes these ethereal numbers can be too
much for a man who only runs at half speed at best.

Okay, my need for literary expression over, it is of course
a great job by all three. Very soothing, interesting sounds
that flow like a river, blow like a quiet breeze, and float
through the atmosphere like a hot air balloon. A unique
orbital flight with rounded half tones bobbing like
ancestoral illusions of time and space.

Let's see, did I take my medicine today?

Very clever
Nice layering work. This is another nice piece by you guys.
I keep getting introduced to some very talented artist
through Mungo, truly a prize that keeps on winning...

This piece has grand scapes resulting from what sounds
to be some fairly sophisticated workings... It matters not
how you arrived I guess... what matters is that ya got
there and quite gracefully I might add. Congrats again!

Numerologisticality
Sounds like the ghosts of the Lost City of Atlantis having
lunch at the Columnar Cafe. This swims about in the
cortex of forgotten sandwiches, reawakening dormant
taste buds.

Poetry
Thanks, everyone, on behalf of Bill and Jim, for your comments. Bronco &
rschletty are competing for the most poetic descriptions so far:

A unique
orbital flight with rounded half tones bobbing like
ancestoral illusions of time and space.
(Bronco)

This swims about in the
cortex of forgotten sandwiches, reawakening dormant
taste buds.

More Poetry
A new entry in the competition from AquilA:

Euphoria and serenity tempered by fear and
excitement as the see-saw teeters between hunter and
hunted.
(AquilA)

Thanks for listening, AquilA, and thanks for your lyrical comments (full
version below).

Did enjoy...
...very much. I commented on this tune in one of its
earlier incarnations and it's improved since then. I must
agree with I.Spike that the song art is most appropriate.
Living in Florida (transplanted NY'er) I've been free diving
and spear fishing in the ocean many times. The art
conveys the prismatic visions that one encounters
underwater, and the quiet, and the weigthlessness. The
music seems to be a perfect soundtrack for the
experience. Euphoria and serenity tempered by fear and
excitement as the see-saw teeters between hunter and
hunted. Nicely done.

trippy.....wow.....did I say trippy?....huh?
New Age Electronica, definitely.

Far out. Swimming in the astral. This music floats and
soothes. Minimal in the beginning, then gradually ascends
to a high point 3/4 the way through.

I would have liked to hear even more of a climax there,
some sort of culmination. But perhaps this piece isn't
supposed to have a dramatic "high". It moves along
tranquilly over a sea of glass.

No Pussyfooting
This reminds so much of Brian Eno's and Robert Fripp's
"No Pussyfooting". Brilliant record, and this song captures
the exact feeling of it. I love the ambient soundscapes and
the disjointed guitar playing.

Aromatic and heavenly
"The air in music is heaven," a dying woman once told me.
This living music is heavenly. Seamless, organic,
amorphic, sweeping, very pretty, aromatic even. The
different entrances of different people are like souls
exchanging places, passing thru, with smiles and nods
and elegant motions. Wonderful.

Aromatic and heavenly
Thanks, Tobin, for your beautiful comments. They are now officially added to
rscheltty's and bronco's as this thread's most poetic (see below):

Very Eno & Fripp
It has a sort of eerie grace to it. Atmospheric and
pleasing, floating, swimming, revolving, spinning. Very
Eno. Very Fripp. Maybe a little more Eno than Fripp, but
still right in there. Quite solidly within the genre.

The opening is nicely reminicent of "Changes for January
07003, soft bells, Hillis algorithm", a short piece of
algorithmic music from " January 07003 | Bell Studies for
The Clock of The Long Now".

Definitely a download.
