Description
I posted this tune with a wah effect and my wife said it was too silly so I dicided not to post that version. Here is the original one I intended to post in the first place.

Having heard the Wah version first...
...I keep hearing the Wah in my head while listening to this one. Now what we need is a partial Wah piece so we can have the best of both worlds.

You wife is right that the Wah version is silly, but I think that's a really good thing. I smiled my way through the song, a big sappy, just-fallen-in-love-and-eaten-ice-cream kind of grin. It's fascinating how changing an effect can change the entire tone of a song. This version has a much more nostalgic, kicking down the road, sort of feel, which I also like.

Great musicianship all around, either way. You play beautifully.

Very well done
Hey T, Very nice work. I really enjoyed this piece.
Nice warm feeling I'm recieving from it. Icecream
seems quite appropriate right now... I always feel a
bit lacking after I listen to artist like you. I have a
tune that I just finished and it it is in such contrast to
this type of work and ones that are on the board
right now, that I am just choosing to hold off on
posting for a bit. I really did enjoy listening to this.

Congrats! Cydniko

A combination of the two
Hey T. I think I'm with ledeb on this one in that I'd be
tempted to go with a combination of the two. The wah is
an interesting effect in combination with the acoustic
fingerpicking taking the genre in a new direction, but I'm
with Alimar in that it might be a bit much to continue
through the entire piece. Unless of course you want it to
be a novelty song, in which case it works just dandy.

This is a sweet melody
And it grabbed be right away. It's fine without the wah, and well I left a comment on that version that doesn't need repeating here. But in this version I can hear better how the minor part comes in and changes the feeling in the song as I'm not so distracted. But I'm glad you posted the Wah version so I can compare them both.

No wah for me!
Listened to Wah first, then tried this, which I much prefer.
Perhaps a "mini wah" version would be nice?
Keep em coming!

Finally....
I haven't had a chance to comment until now. First of all,
this song is one of your best melody driven songs. The
melody is infectious. Really special. So, i would
encourage you to explore how to record this in better
ways. Snow's suggestion is one I offer too, i.e. blending
both versions. Another thought is to do the wah version,
which I like a lot, and moderate the effects in various
places to create more variation and interest. A little less
sing-songy in places. Also think about adding a simple
bass line. I don't know if it "needs" one, but I would
explore that to hear what it sounds like. It might
anchor it... give it more depth.

Bill, you're quite a musician and it shows the more you
record. Keep fooling around with this one. Again... this
melody is so catchy and infectious.
