Once again...
...maintaining that "LIVE" sound. You perform well
together. How are you recording this, direct? With mics?
I'd like to hear some stereo separation, and think you
could do it with minimal input equipment. Very cool jam,
nonetheless.
JOAN said 5111 days ago (June 28th, 2005)
Once again...
thanks for the nice comment Alimar. the guitars are directly into the fostex and mics for drums/vocals.

It seriously rocks!
I really like this. The live energy is fresh and different form what I'm used to hearing here. It sounds like someone is using an ebow. The guitars are almost on verge of chaos at points, but the bass and drums hold it all together. I wouldn't change a thing.

Wow!!! I never though Shop N Save could be such a strong
source of inspiration, man, I got to get out my building and
see the world! Is this from the meat or the booze section?
Parking lot at night? The guitars, bass and drums are so d-
mn tight. D'L

Soon I'll have my own JOAN CD!

Great work, thanks,

M

great sound explorations
There are a lot more subtleties to this tune than meets the
ear right at first.

You are able to explore many variations of sound because
all of you have played together for such a long time, and
therefore have a certain "comfort level" of musical/
personal interaction. This solid foundation allows you to
experiment freely, with often very interesting results!

I like the wide range of sounds you get on the guitars,
while the percussion and bass provides an interesting
backdrop. This performance has many layers, many
musical "petals" unfolding.

You KNOW that you're an extraordinary band if you can
make this mostly classical/new age/jazz aficionado into a
fan of your music!

You guys RAWK.

cameron, thankyou SO much for that. your ability to listen and think about what your hearing never ceases to blow me away ( as witnessed on your posts to other artists also). and from this jazz fan i say thanks for being here.

Cool guitar symphony you got going there....almost jazzy
drums. Its difficult to do stuff like this and keep it from
getting boring..but you have managed to keep the
dynamics going on this one! Nice

Hey guys!
I've been away for a while. Good to hear some JOAN again.
Really like this one. I like how the sound is continuous and
keeps driving forward. My dog is growling and barking at
this song! He says "Keep it down, punks! I'm trying to
nap!"
