Though some have indicated that they think this tune should be in a different category. I want to dedicate this piece to my father who past away a few years ago who was a (big band) sax player. We used to play duets together. He loved Dorsey, Miller, Goodman etc. This piece really does deserve to be in "big band category". in rememberance of of my dad. And at the finish written for him, so if he is in a big band somewhere up in the sky maybe they could play it :)

* Special note:
There was also an acoustical guitarist named Freddie Green for Count Basie, he was the few who played "acoustical rhythum guitar and played cords that where just fantastic, he was all over the place with his cord technique. Another pro rhythum guitarist was named Steve Jordan Freedie Green's personal favoraite.

Packing....
up the Microbus and setting off cross country.

As always amazing picking! This is a very pleasant listen...
much different in style than i am used to hearing from
you. Has a very mellow early mid 70's AM radio vibe.

got carried away :)

Very cool T-man...
great song composition with your usual very fine guitar
playing. I really like the horns throughout. I must say,
though with all respect, this isn't big band/swing. Minor
point. as you suggest in your song description, this is a
festive instrumental and I enjoyed the shole thing.

By the way, I am glad you finally got us all together for a
Macjamstock. Being that I arrived late, you probably
didn't see me. I am the guy in the 40th row back, second
from the left.

This is so rich with sound... very cool and upbeat. More than upbeat really, more like casual joy. Great fun to listen to.

I agree with Jack, this is not Big Band/Swing, but who
cares. A nice ride. Sounds like you have fun with
JamPack...

Fun show BIll
I really took out most of the loops sounds from J4 and put mostly indiviual
notes. Changed em around, moved em up and down, to get a different sound :)

Love the Spirit
in this tune, Bill! Great choice of chords, layers, background and feel. I enjoyed it and it is such a happy tune, it is perfect for the crappy weather we're having in Atlanta these days!

I'm the one laughing in the back
Thanks for giving me something to smile to, Bill, after
listening to Rebsie and Mando's utterly depressing song
about love.

I'm the one laughing in the back
Somethimes going against the norm is heathly. Just like not all big band is
swing.

A Mighty Virtual Wind
Tiler: I feel breezes from the East, West, North and South
swirl about the stage as you pay tribute to your dear
father. This is the moment I've waited for. A dream come
true. I am waiting in the wings in a sequined, pinstripe
jumpsuit, about ready to perform my new Astro-Folk hit
called....

Reality check: When I slowly climb back on stage in
Hopkins, MN on August 6, 2005, for a reunion street
dance with my old college group called Rocka-Rola, I'll be
thinking of you, Tiler. I'll dedicate my acoustic guitar solo
to you. You are helping to give us jammers vision and soul
and skills. And for that we are grateful.

You stole my outfit!
Darnit, rschletty, I was going to wear a sequined, pinstriped jumpsuit. Just tell me yours isn't pink and we'll be okay.

Thanks for putting me on the bill, thetiler, and for posting this great piece of music. I'm sure your dad is smiling somewhere. I continue to be blown away by your guitar.
thetiler said 4724 days ago (July 12th, 2005)
You stole my outfit!
Going by your picture it wouldn't matter what you wear. I am sure you will be a
big draw. We just have to make sure we have that ladies room thing
straightened out. It will be croweded!

I hope my rawness of my acoustical guitar sound is not too bad, I had to bang
that dang rhythm guitar for all it's wort to reach the back parts of the stadium.
Those Marshall speakers can get trouublesome to acoustical guitarists playing
large areas. Not at all like studio recording!

This one is great!
Of all your posts this is tha one I like the best!

A very interesting atmosphere. Almost like dreaming at night
... something unknown ... unpredictable and strange but not
scaring ... like a cool breeze and still fashinating.

Aha..
Aha ... i saw you "started out doing a Crosby, Stills, and Nash
type thing". Maybe thats why I like it ... few artists have
meant so much to me as them through the years. Good job
all through!

Aha..
Thanks, it's kind of funny how things change. I really didn't have a clue that it
would turn out like this. But then I started hearing horns. Luckily GB Jampack 4
has some nice sounds that can be adapted for pop music.

thanks so much for stoppin by and posting

A time to remember indeed.
Since we are remembering the times of our collective youth, this fits right in and oh so well. You are truly an artist of the highest magnitude Bill. Everything you touch and play shows that in spades.

Love this without reservation my friend. Thanks for coming to the Festival Bill, it's good to see you here.
