Green (JeeHair Mix)

Description
This is one of the songs that I wrote for the first time with Garageband back in 2004, but I re-recorded it and re-mixed it myself. I also made an album called Green collecting all my English songs and it is now available in Japan through GBUC.NET. For those who are overseas, I decided to post a few songs from the album here. Hope you enjoy.

Lyrics
green

sometimes i have this urge to go away
away from everything of everyday
there's no peace and i have bad headache
so i start the car and head for the bay

i slide down the window to feel the wind
lay my hand in the air like a paper plane
all the buzzing is disappearing from my mind
all the madness is fast fading away

stay ever green

sometimes it's good to have your mates along
just the good mates and don't make the list too long
don't pack your trunk with a full of beer cans
bring in your boards and i-pod and get out while you can

out of tunnel, ocean's on the left side
gentle breeze stirs the surface and makes it shine
all the time in the world i have here with you
all the love in the world i have here with you

stay ever green

enter the green
colour me green
stop the time
ever green

Very Well Done
And very pleasant surprise when you entered that new sonic space - I
thought the song was going to remain musically static and sensitive Bon
Jovi-like and then all of these instruments came in - beautiful,
psychedelic pop.
Thank you for the big smile on my face.

Wow
You heard me: Wow!
I really liked this! The beginning captured me, and the style change really
kept me there! Great composing and an excellent use of loops! Although,
I sometimes thought that some of the drum loops were a little bit too
loud, but I didn't really mind.
Excellent work!
You've got yourself a new fan!

Hey, Jes...
You really are on a roll, dude... You just have the ear for great music. You
tried to experiment and improvise on this one and it works. I loved the
original Green song but this one gives it a different twist which makes it
groovy.

Pls keep coming up with more songs. I am interested to keep
collaborations coming too..so if you have a song with me in mind, let me
know. It's always exciting to work with a great musician.

Flip sides
Wow, what a difference. Gotta say up front that I am a huge fan of your
original intimate version and still feel more of a connection to that track
than this (it is my favorite of yours on the site), but what a great variation
(s) you put it thru. If you come out with a CD, you should include both
versions. Wonderful inventiveness in arranging a solid tune.

Amazing...
Amazing changes throughout this song...a wonderful ride that keeps you locked in.
I wish your vocals were more in focus (clearer)...perhaps a second track without any effects.
Just a thought...
I really like this song...great job!!!

hiya! thank you very much for your comment!
right. i also think that my vocals are not too clear in this song.
maybe it showed while mixing that i was not too confident about
my own voice... need to work on that. thanks again!

with the chorus - enter the green. Cool before that but I like that chorus
grabber "enter the green" very cool!

it was a lot of fun making this song. it was like playing with blocks.
loops are fun! usually, i dont use loops at all, but i guess i want to

A feast-for-the-ears...
This one gets better and better as it goes along... I love all the
extra sounds that you throw into the mix... very well done, but
never sloppy! Also, you know it's a great pop tune when the
melody is left playing over and over in your head. Memorable.

There's nothing else like this!
Wonderful, quirky, fresh and energetic pop!

It's a little gem that suddenly sparkles...green...

I can just see, it's very vivid....

Let's see... love the drums...the violin...all the different instruments...

I like the lyrics very much... the vocal is very compelling...
