Great Guitar
You play great guitar. I get a sense of the outdoors and of course the
bird are a nice touch. The mix is good with just the right amount of
space.-JAC

Nice spacious feel
Nice acoustic sound.. you should add some vocals to this, would make
a great song I think. Nice playing!

Very clean
I love the tone of your guitar, and the birds brought a smile to my face.
Almost like the end of summer and beginning of Autumn. Looking
forward to more from you!

Very cool tune...
Reminds me of some of Mark Knopfler's music. Mellow and moving.
Very nice. Welcome to macjams.

lovely
i can definitely hear your influence of the outdoors in this. did come
though.

the guitar playing's great.

the bird sounds honestly bugged me a bit - maybe if they came in later
and softer. would rather just hear you playing the guitar!

i agree - could be something that would work with vocals, that would be
cool. but it doesn't need it - it stands on its own.

Great first post
And welcome to MacJams :)

Lovely acoustic guitar playing. The movement and pace of it (to me)
suggested images of a stream tumbling along over gently-rolling
landscapes.

Thanks for posting this!

Sounds like autumn
I thought I'd left a comment here before. I guess not.

THis is really nice. It goes beautifully with my memories of autumn in
New England. Brings back a lot of emotion. Thanks for that.

great guitar sound
I like the way the guitar sounds. Very peaceful.

I am from Minnesota, so that makes me almost Canadian.

Outdoorsie
Wow - just what I needed today. So calm and relaxing.
Great guitarwork and production.
Wasn't crazy about the bird sound, though. It seemed kind of out of place
with no other ambience sounds. A stream of water, a soft breeze or
perhaps just some reverb would've made a lot of difference, but maybe
that's just me :)
Anyway - a great first post. Hope to hear more of this kind of stuff.
Great job!

Outdoorsie
actually that makes a lot of sense about the birds being out of place since
they're the only extra sound like that.. I never thought about it, thanks.. I like
comments that make me think a little... I need to do that once in a while

expansive, smooth
I like this a great deal... well-written, well-played piece. One critique I
have is that at 1:15, you begin plucking the high harmonic strings (I
forget the guitarist's technical term for this), which would be perfect
for giving the high crisp feeling you want to impart... but it sounds to
me like this recording is missing a lot of high-end, so it didn't sound
as good as it should have. The crisp high sounds (even in the
birdsong) are somewhat muffled. You may want to boost the highs a
bit more to make this piece shine a bit more. Overall, a very nice first
piece, welcome to MacJams!

On yer Way
Didn't read the comments before listening so the Red Wing Blackbirds in the background freaked me out a little since they've been gone from here in IA for a few weeks so I thought that was a GREAT touch - definitely got me thinking about the awesome spring/summer we just had and so as a composer - you've done your job! Liked the musicianship and I do agree that the production is a good one but some of the crispness being gone keeps it from being an absolute total triumph - still better than what I get around to producing and totally impressed with the tune so tops ratings from here. Thanks for sharing it!

On yer Way
its a cold, rainy day today, and getting a comment like that brightened things
up for me, Im glad the idea of the song came through, that was important to
me.. as for the production side of things, like you and drakonis said, I agree,
its been one thing that I always thought was missing, the sound is dull.. so I
plan on going back and working on that some more.. so thanks for the
criticism.. and the compliments

up north on an autum day? To me that would be that my
fingers are too frickin' cold to play the guitar like that.

Awesome!

Relentless peace
There is a wonderful feeling inside this music. As if it is the persistent
friendship and love of someone that won't be driven away becuz they
know you need them, unconditional, waiting, encircling when necessary.
Really nice warmth and emotive pacing. Excellent articulations.

I really enjoyed this. Closed my eyes, and went 'South', actually for a few
moments. (Right now, we have about 8 inches on the ground.) Great
guitar, nice production, too.

great road-trip song....M6 toll?
lovely opening with the strumming going against the picked intro. and sweet harmonics....and what are those birds - baby gaviotas?? or is it a ringing telephone? nice simple end. cool...all cool.
