intriguing
I'm intrigued by the artwork, and the flowing, laidback melody. Really like
the strings in the background - they complement the guitar beautifully.

Thanks for noticing CJ about the pitcure, I still don't think it is very accurate ,
hey I never thought my self as a picture artist. But doing pictures here a MJ really

dream good dreams
Well, your keywords give away a bit of what you were thinking and
feeling -- seeing, caring, happiness, comfort, living, sleeping, looking,
avoiding, hoping, peacefulness, true justice, loving, leaving, staying,
wonder and reality. Those are lofty and gentle words. Are you going to
write words for this song? It soothes the harried soul and causes one to
dream good dreams. Beautiful guitar playing, Bill.

dream good dreams
To Rich

Really this probably the most sacred tune I've ever written. I felt going back
and forth in the E chord in a flamenco like I do, I feel like I made the music
visble by using the two sided picture. From dream state to awake state and
the transition is in between. That is why I named it :The Transition.

As for as a song goes, I don't think at this time, I could put words to it. But it
is a very good point. Thanks for stopping by on this!

Whoa
This has some extremely nice parts in it. Whoa, just heard another one. Jeeze. I like the dark minor melodic sound with those great lines dancing all over the place and the backgroud string sound, like you are really saying something with the notes and chords. Great piece!

No need to type! Just play! This one took me out there! Loved the chord changes and dynamics of the song! I love acoustic pickin songs! I should have one up soon! Look out cats!

Bill, your great playing burst forth with happiness, and the violins in the
background definitely painted a dreamlike picture. The piece sounded like
you were looking forward to "The Transition".

I heard you
Actually when I wake up I feel good to be alive. But I took sleeping pills when I
was five and thought they were candy. I really think it altered my sleeping
habits bigtime and what I see in dreams.. I was in a coma for 35 hours and the
doctors thought I would die.

Great dynamics
This tune is a lot like life, not black nor white, but very much a blur of Yin and Yang, a spinning dial of shades of gray. The major and minors are like opposite swings of a pendulum, highs and lows, brisk pacing in the strumming and choice moments of pause where the background drops out and the guitar has a bit of a think, or an inner struggle or a moment of revelation, before the impetus of life picks up again. This isn't an easy tune to describe, and like life - it mirrors and captures that essence. Nice job!

Once again...
Your playing astounds me. So clean! Great emotion in this song. Wonderful performance. I'm not sure vocals would be needed, since the guitar emotes so well on its own. Background ooh's or hum's maybe? Nah, on second thought, stick with what you got. It's wonderful.

I had to come back for another listen...
I may not hear all of your music once, but I do hear quite a few many times.

Truly, your music is worth much more than a buck or two, and some day
soon, you will know this and w/o a single doubt, Bill... Dream in this direction
and you will need to be pinched one day, but only to know that it's not a
dream after all... Follow those instruction and do what ya need while riding
faith 'til the end and you will be guaranteed the type of success that your
heart yearns for, and that your playing deserves. In your heart of hearts, you
know this to be true...

Even if you or no one else here believes this to be true, I do and you may feel
free to ride the coat tails of my knowing...

Good things attract good things and bad things bad... - Your music is damn
GOOD! Continue being a good person and there's no fail. Nothing can stand
in the way of the pure passion that you have for music. Nothing.

Heads up my friend and keep on pluck'n... - Cyd

Thanks mungo, one section I felt bring out the flavor in the moving back and
forth of the E cord in a flamenco kinda fashion and making the strings shine a
bit.

Thumbs Over Spain
Really emphasizing the rhythm on the last several which is nice. That
thumb gets a workout on this one but is up to the challenge. I hear bits
and pieces of many styles in this - a nice collage. Flamenco,
contemporary British style, a dash of Leo with a smidgen of Jorma.
Blessed be the fingerpickers for they shall practice until their callouses
have callouses!

keeps it from being stagnant. As always, you're a fine finger-style

My pictures really don't do justice on what I mean't. And words can take away
from the importants what I tried to convey.

But there is a sacred transition between sleep and being awake that opens up a
whole different world to some.

Thanks for your comment.

Harmony with the stringed instrument is beautiful.

A bit confused
The part in the song where you kind of go into a solo guitar part I feel
that the violin in the background should go away. The part where you
go through the scales. The reason I don't think it works is that from
that moment on in the song I feel that the violin detracts from the
guitar and almost feels like it is not part of the song and is not an
integral part of the song and was added after to maybe add more
emotion to the song. As I said if you stopped the violin during that
part it might bring the listner back to concentrate on the guitar.
Anyway thats my 2 cents.

Keaggy-esque!
I especially like the part where the song goes from (college music theory, don't fail me now) a strummed V chord to the VI chord and back and then you pick some higher notes ... reminds me of some of Phil Keaggy's instrumental work.

But I must agree that the place where it sounds as though you're doing a bunch of bar chords (?) one after another doesn't, to my ear, belong in this song. Don't know why, maybe my ear expects to hear more Keaggy-esque sounds.

I'll have to iPod your song to be able to comment further, but you have a natural talent and I'm glad you're sharing your gift with us on this forum.

Keaggy-esque!
I like the steady pulse in this song -- accomplished with nary a drum track in
sight! The strings also are a nice touch.

I myself LIKE that bar-chord section.
Makes a nice contrast from the first part.

And as always, your finger-picking is impeccable.

Keep it up, Bill.

Strings sound real good.
I do like the strings they give the song a lot of body. I do also believe
that the guitar by itself would have sounded great. As far as my
imagination, there are so many places it could go. I would have liked
to have known where yours was going. Thanks for sharing.
