Still Waters

Description
This melody had been floating in my mind all day. So after doodling on the piano in a meditative mood, this simple song was the result. My wife says it sounds like water going over rocks in a creek

This song will soon be compiled into a home-produced instrumental album, "Wordlessly," I'm composing for use during the rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding in June.

The photo is of Biloxi Bay from the shores of Ocean Springs, Miss., on a business trip to the Mississippi Coast just a few weeks after Hurricane Katrina.

oooh, pretty!
Very interesting and unexpected progressions with the melody, and very
touching and delicate. I assume you played this on the keyboard? Well
done! Very elegant.

Thanks, yes, I played this on my Yamaha electronic piano. The sound, though, is the Steinway from Jam Pack 4.

Beautifully done
There is an innocence about the piece that is very beautiful. The other
comment made is correct, the turns you take in the tune are interesting
and hold you all the way through. The song reminded me of that long
hot summer day, family by the river, but their is also a beautiful
sadness here, like something was lost or someone and thats just part
of life.

If you get a chance I would like you to look at my song "I love
Bladerunner". I think with your talent the song could be fleshed out.
Let me know what you think.

Once again, beautifully done.

Striking in its simplicity.
The intro in a higher octave, then moving down was 'just right' . Very
calming and meditative. The production was also pristine. Really just
lovely.

Beautiful
This classical work of art is great. It's a very relaxing and
beautiful song and has a nice ending touch. I too play keyboard/
syth and that song I got to give props to.

Simple yet so beautiful
I love this contemplative/meditative piano style. The beauty that your
fingers speak of is indeed touching. I wonder why you posted this under
New Age instead of Classical? I know it's going into my Classical
collection, right there alongside of Chopin.

God bless,

Rick

Simple yet so beautiful
Rick,

Hmm. Well, "classical" seems so high-brow, but I thought about it, and agreed!

It's reclassified. Thanks for your compliments.

Quality, heartfelt, very well perfromed
Another gorgeous New Age solo piano track. So nice. Yes, I'd put both
tunes under New Age. Reminds me of Jon Schmidt. You should check out
Whisperings, a new age online radio station (you can google it). You
would fit right in with the quality songs presented there. (Your stuff has
too much pop new age influence to be under Classical, in my ears. Which
is not to diminish it at all. It has that wonderful combination of English-
American hymn, pop anthem, romance and hoopefulness that defines
New Age.)
