Very nice vibe.
Personally I always dream out of sequence so now I know how the other half lives.

I don't know much about what makes a good "danceable ravish song" but I like how this manages to be both driving and mellow at the same time, and the instruments mix together really well. There seems to be almost a hint of Yaz in the hook, but maybe I'm just being overly nostalgic.

Yaz Inquiry.
Yaz (or also Yazoo) was a band from the 1980s. It was a synth-based duo
consisting of a female singer with a nice bluesy voice (Allison Moyet) and former
member of Depeche Mode (Vince Clarke) on keyboards. Yazoo (Yaz) made only
two albums: "Upstairs At Eric's" & "You & Me Both". They split the band in July of
1983 to go their separate ways. Allison went on to do solo stuff while Vince
teamed-up with Andrew Bell to form the poppy synth band "Erasure". Hope this
was helpful.

Yaz IS very good if you like very early 80s synth music. A great combination
with
Allison and Vince. Actually, Vince was only with DM for their first album
"Speak & Spell". You can really hear his influence in the "poppy" happy sound
to the music. Not as dark and distressed as their later albums. I think Vince is
just a really happy guy or something, because every band he's with sounds so
"poppy" and up-beat. I can remember seeing him when he was with "Erasure".
It was at a place in L.A. back in the 80s. We were in the front row, squashed
up against the stage for the whole show. Painful, but fun at the same time.
It's weird that for a guy who writes such "happy" sounding music, he really
looked kind of pissed and miserable through the whole thing. I believe he
smiled ONCE when Andy Bell introduced him. Anyway, it's nice going back to
memory lane again. It's been longer than I thought.

A Rave Review.
Great tune. While it's dancey, I wouldn't really descrite it as "ravish." And yeah, I Magritte that it does sound reminiscent of Yaz. Which is quite a compliment, considering they're one of my favorite bands.
