Really fun
Great guitar intro. Kicks into an infectious, solid rockabilly riff. Vocals
remind a little of Steve Earle. Like the guitar hooks better than vocal
melody, but it's all solid. Needs a bigger/more interesting ending.

Enjoyed it!

Thanks for the nice words. You know, I've heard of Steve Earle but never actually heard any of his stuff. I'll have to check him out. I also agree with you about the ending. Hopefully this will get easier as I get to know home recording.

your suppossed
to leave room for improvement. what an awesome track. great kick ass
mix. your guitar doesn't sound thin like so many home recordings.
curious as to the set up and how you achived that. the keyboard pad
that echoes the guitar line is a great hook. catchy punchy and radio
friendly. wish i could craft pop tunes wit this sense of style.

Thanks Karmatoburn! I'm glad you like it! For the guitars on rhythm I mic'd (shure sm57) my Gibson ES-135 to a Marshall JCM9000 thru a Ampeg 2x12 cab. Same thing on the intro lead but I used my Gibson Les Paul Studio then doubled all tracks, I think that's what made the difference. The ambient leads went direct and also doubled.

stones fan???
Thanks Scott! Well, yes I've been playing for years and I've been in pro studios a couple times. However, as a musician only...no production or engineering experience. This is my first go at it, and on a much, much smaller scale. I will list all my equip when I get the chance. Oh and yes, I am a Stones fan! Cheers!

First thing I would do...
is think about increasing the tempo slightly. The song seems
especially slow on the main guitar riff. Someone said it sounded
rockabilly; I would say almost bluegrass/old-timey. Either way, I think
it would "snap into place" better at a faster tempo.

I like the vocal delivery.

Glidin' on the highway...
Exactly what I felt while listening. Love the tempo, the killer riff, the voice. Happier band I've heard here. Well done mate !
