Lyrics
Forged in a fire of emotion,
the bond seemed all so true.
Hearts aglow with devotion,
now the waves come crashing through.
It's over, then.
Never again.

Gutted by a storm expanding
flushing down all we had built.
Mud slide of misunderstanding
with no one admitting guilt.
It's over, then.
Never again.

Never again the floating over you.
Never again a feeling that's right.
Never again your stardust eyes.
Never again contentment through the night.

Forget about reconstruction.
Look at me with my newfound freedom.
No thoughts of reconciliation
for this heart is now closed.
It's over, then.
Never again.

Box of containment,
tower prone to crashing,
poorly mixed cement.
Who needs the thrashing?
It's over, then.
Never again.

Never again the floating over you.
Never again a feeling that's right.
Never again your stardust eyes.
Never again contentment through the night.

Loving the imagery
Nice collab, guys.

Richard, I like your lyrics for this song. The imagery is very good. (And you worry that you use cliches? Certainly not here.)
Sung with great pathos. I especially like the line "Look at me with my newfound freedom" sung with a tearful voice. There is little celebration for that freedom.

The music is moody and evocative. I did expect a little more build in the music during the second set of verses and chorus.

Well done.

Loving the imagery
Thanx! At first, there should have been some more "build in the music" but then I decided that it would destroy the calm mood of this piece...

Moving
This is a good moving arrangement. Conveys good emotion. I almost felt
this would turn into a soft rock song when the second verses come in, i
felt a build up there. It is a good song. Good job. God Bless.

the poet at heart
has a poetic sound to the vocals that fits with the lyrics. nice lyrics. like the intro. i was expecting the chorus to start of high with lots of emotion on the never again part. nice churcy orchestral sound to this. nice track.
