Lyrics
When you come into the land that the Lord has given you
Forget not the Lord thy God
When you come into the land that the Lord has given you
Forget not the Lord thy God

When your living in a city and it's walls you have not built
When you drink the pure sweet water of it's well
When you've eaten from a garden you've not planted and your full
Hear Me oh Israel and forget not the Lord thy God

(repeat first verse and chorus)
(guitar and piano solos)

When you come into the land that the Lord has given you
Forget not the Lord thy God
When you come into the land that the Lord has given you
Forget not the Lord thy God

When your wearing robes of righteous the fabric you've not spun
And rings and crowns adorn your hands and your head
When you've been declared he victor in a race you've yet to run
Hear Me oh Israel and forget not the Lord thy God

Wonderful
A message all of us in this land of prosperity need to remember always,
with music that will HELP us remember. Yeah, piano is not concert tuned,
but it makes that jazz-club atmosphere more authentic. Great work!

Marvellous...
piano and vox. Composition reminds me a little of Los Lobos' JUST A MAN
in places. An instant fave!

God bless!

fulllll of heart
and soul... confuses me though... It's hard to sit back, have a cigarette
and a scotch, when your listening to a modern psalm... dig it... Ok
seriously... sweet dynamics amd subdued feel.... the guitar solo is
sensative and understated... an undisciplined player would overplay
this... then the piano solo provides such a sweet lift in spirit and feel..

bravo Rich

Very easy to listen to.
Interesting, singing a warning about decadence using Jazz music, with all
of its associations with smoke- filled clubs, drinking and 'loose living'. Of
course, that means that you're not exactly 'preaching to the choir'.
Actually, it's very appropriate. Really relaxed vocal delivery gives it a
reflective feeling.

Harry Connick Jr.
Wonderful Harry Connick Jr. feel, smooth, easy, understated, heartfelt, a
little bit of New Orleans. Really nice.
