Description
Very old one, written originally '91, (re-worked '93) and now re-vamped. It's one of those 'non sexual love' songs.

Thanks to Stecky, my old mate, who wrote the piano part in this originally and to 'chops' who wrote verses 2 & 3.

Lyrics
v1
You hold my hand,
Heart to heart,
You make me feel,
Like you should
You fill my dreams,
Soul to soul,
You make me feel ..
Good ..

Make me feel good.
Make me feel good.

v2
You heal the wounds,
Pain to joy,
You make me feel,
Like you can,
You hold me tight,
Side by side,
You make me feel ..
Real.

Make me feel real.
Make me feel real.

v3
You are my life,
Piece by piece,
You make me feel,
Mad for you,
You let me see,
Eye to eye,
You make me feel ..
Me.

Make me feel me.
Make me feel me-yeaha.

Solid Tune
Like the acoustic intro, and the track doubling. Nice picking, very pretty.
Nice dyamic between it and the heavier stuff that comes after. Tight
playing and mix. Good vocals and harmonies. I like the piano riff but,
and I'm no production guru, I think it would have been effective it to
having it pan slowly, from one channel extreme to the other, during the
whole part. And now that I'm out on a limb, perhaps the last time around
with the piano, while it pans in one direction, have a synth, playing some
subset of the piano melody, panning in the opposite direction. Okay, I'll
shut up now.

Replying to above this way as 'reply to' don't work ...

Ty Wildcat and AquilA.

I'm no production guru either but I think I can manage to implement your
suggestions AquilA on the piano part in v3- thank you for giving your
take on it & suggestions - always welcome here.

If you ever feel your in danger of getting over verbose .. just send me
a 'Note' or an e-mail instead.

Lovely Track
Really nice job on this, Bro.

Good build and tasteful arrangement with good vocals and harmonies.

The only suggestio I have that might add to the dynamics a bit would
be to build a chorus of *ahhs* around the harminies here and there.

Regardless... it's a nice piece of work.

Cheers! Glad you liked it .. and thanks for the suggestion, I think some more
*aahs* are needed. I also plan to have a gentle, 'weeping' style solo violin on
this as it's a bit sparse without it.

Good Pop Sound
After meeting you in chat yesterday, I wanted to check out your tunes. This is the first I've heard, and I am impressed.

Very nice production values on this song; everything is well-balanced and the recording comes across clearly through my headphones.

The overall "atmosphere" of this tune is very mellow and restful. I would say that the polished, integrated sound and chord structure of this piece, along with the treatment of the vocals, makes this song more of a Pop tune rather than folk-rock.

It is an excellent tune to listen to in the background while doing work on the computer, or as café music. (This is a GOOD thing!)

P.S. to comment above
Somehow, the accented "e" didn't make it into my sentence: "....while doing work on the computer, or as CAFE music". Ooops.

I listen to this over coffee as well .. I do ..
btw - I heard two more of your harp pieces from Caroline and they are
just amazing and incredibly relaxing and enjoyeable to listen to.. you
must post them.

Take care on the road.

PS. I can never get genre right ..you'll have noticed by now - well now you know
what to expect ..or do you? ;o)

Excellent
Damn good vocal harmonies; actually great vocals over all.

The bass guitar seems a bit ahead in places. I would try to tighten up the
bass and kick drum, perhaps slide the bass track slightly back so it's just
behind the beat. Or even do the dreaded timing correction trick?

I really like this!

Thanks again
there is a major timing 'fault'in this: the whole song
after the acoustic intro is supposed to be a good few notches faster. Something I believe you can't do easily with GB but can do later with Logic Pro (I understand). I got very lazy with the bass part (being for the most part a simple 'heartbeat') and actually created my own audio loop (as an experiment) and it is in that and because of that, you get this slightly late drag (your right on) when I copied it for every 'beat'. I
figured I would re-do it later anyways and just left it.

I also want to do a drum refresh of most of my old midi drum posts now I have DoD - major revamp.

Glad you liked it and the vocals: they took a fair bit of time as I'm extremely inconsistent, happily go-lucky, hap-hazard etc with vocals. I lack vocal ambition.

too kind
my vocals are fairly erratic .. glad you liked the end result .. it takes me long
enough ..lol and I don't think I will ever class myself as a 'singer' for fear the
unions might get me under some trade descriptions act or something .. lol

Thanks Jo
glad to see you browsing some of my uploads and commenting: glad you like my vocal efforts and the lyrics (mostly not
written by me .. I started the ball rolling with v1 and
the bass player at the time did the rest on the theme).

Its another one I want violin in, before I re-visit and
make fixes, refresh etc.
