Description
Very short song. Mostly concentrated on the lyrics and the vocals. All tweaked out loops.

Lyrics
Masquerades

Stillness follows the moment of regret.
My hands clinging to anything, but there's nothing left.

Waters cover me. My steps sink below.
Secrets hide beneath the tide, but I still know.

Guiltiness swallows me. Hollowing my heart.
Nothing I say can make another realty to this one.

A painted face of perfection that masquerades my place.
Your kisses seek the truth in me, but it's too late.

Moody and theatrical
Very nice mood, nice palette of sounds, transparent arrangement. For
someone who listens to a ton of GB songs, recognizing loops are hard to
overcome, but you transcended the over-used loops pretty well. I like
your clear, up front, unapologetic vocals. And your melody, very
theatrical; and I like how you let your voices carry the track. (You do flat
on the "the" before tide and your "oh" following that second stanza could
be lifted at the beginning. I mention it becuz you are otherwise very
professional in your performances.) Enjoyable drama. Nice track. Looking
forward to more from you. Welcome to MJ.

Recognizable, but very dramatic
I haven't heard recognizable loops complimented by such a strong, passionate voice in some time. I'm sure you must get comparisons to Amy Lee in choice of genre, general appearance, and quality/timbre of voice. I'm not sure if that's an insult or a compliment, but I think it's a conclusion that's inevitably drawn. If you're after that intentionally, you're on the right track. If you're trying to be your own person, I think there will be a challenge in front of you. Having said all that, your choice of harmonies on this track was wonderful, and your performance was stellar. A very enjoyable track, and thanks for sharing it.
