Lyrics
Twice As Strong
© 1992 Doug Boughter

Don’t be alone, or lonely inside
Just picture my face and the warmth of me by your side
I lay up at night, dreaming of you
And knowing that you are thinking the same and loving me too

Together we’re twice as strong
Together is where we belong
The strength that sees me through
Is the love I get from you

I’m miles from you, it doesn’t seem right
That I can’t be with and holding you in the night
Don’t be alone, or lonely inside
Just picture my face and the warmth of you by my side

Together we’re twice as strong
Together is where we belong
The strength that sees me through
Is the love I get from you

I won’t be alone for a moment in time
I’ll picture your face, and warmth of you by my side
Don’t be alone, or lonely inside
I’ll picture your face and the warmth of you by my side
I’ll picture your face and the warmth of you by my side

Strong ballad!
Nicely done pop ballad Doug - would be good to know a bit more about the recording (I assume the female vox is not you :) ). Is this a recent recording or an old one? Excellent vocals - clean recording - almost pro-like from maybe 15 years or so ago. Well played.
Will listen to other of your work to get a more rounded picture.
Cheers,
Neil

good ear
Yes, I recorded this song about that time. Did most of the ovedubs out of the studio on MOTU and my Mac, then layed down vocals and guitar in the studio. It was a fun project.

Thank for listening Neil

Wow...
This is radio-ready! Love the warm vocals, the guitar solo is flawless and sweet. Great production all around. I'm always jealous of people who can really sing. Good work!

Great duet!
I've got Digital Performer but, I can't make it sound anywhere near that good! Just read your profile page. It's easy to see why :)

Great pop ballad/duet.

wonderfully done
a true pop tune in all sense. great singing, performance and a great guitar solo. of course i've noticed on some of your other stuff you have the guitar done pretty good. the only thing that seemed a little out ogfplace to me was the rythm electric sounding a bit to much treble. take that with a grain of salt though. and welcome to the site doug. after reading your bio you definatley know what your doing!

Nailed it
this is about as good as it gets... pop is all about accessable well crafted packages... the vocal is nailed... polished and emotional... I love the melody in the verses... and the guitar solo smokes while still being melodic...

welcome aboard Doug
