Lyrics
i want to make you a sweater
and woven rugs
play in the summer
and dream all day of our endless love looking in you face
i see your smile
and it makes me feel full inside
days and nights we spend togethter
are always enough
CHORUS
just a moment in you arms
is all i ask from you
just a moment
is all i ask

your spirit leaves me feel ...beautiful
when i"m with you the world can't touch me
days are complete
and the night I'm forcing dreams of you

Beautiful I am with you
Beautiful all the while
Beautiful in me and
Beautful with you

Chorus

moment in your arms is all i ask
moment in your arms
just a moment

nice voice, loud shaker
Your voice is definitely rich and full of character, and even without accompaniment the melody sounds good, as does your singing voice! There are some initial things to work on though. First, the lyrics you posted don't match what you have sung, which is really minor. Secondly, the shaker was a bit too loud, compared to your voice, I'd lower its volume a bit. And, your voice was a little muffled, and could sound a lot better if you were either closer to the mic, or had a better mic. And finally, this definitely would sound great with some guitar/musical accompaniment... I look forward to you staring to play with those GB sounds or your guitar, and some sung backing harmony tracks too! Overall a nice acapella intro... I look forward to more from you.

...very pretty!
Great first upload Dierdre...
...the sparse instrumentation works well & I think (especially in the chorus) gives the listener some imagination as to where this piece might be heading...
..its a pity it is cut short! I'd really like to hear this version in its' entirety..

Cheers!

I found the shaker ...
.. a little distracting ... I'm not sure if you intended to end the song as abruptly as it did or not ... but it sounded like it was still in the middle of it. It took me a long time to realize that singing live is so very different from recording and that the microphone will pick up every little movement you make (although I personally still tend to smoke cigarettes and drink beer while I record songs) .... your voice is rich and clear and would benefit from some GB mixing tips (don't ask me tho cause I am not so great at mixing yet) ... but there are some gurus here at Macjams that could definitely HELP in that arena ...

I liked the vocals . . .
in this a capella version better than your accompanied version. Your voice is clearer in this recordeing. I can hear Janis in your voice. I like it.

However, I agree that the shaker is a touch overbearing.

And along with the others, did this get cut off before it ended? It was just getting good. Maybe another refrain or a bridge or something--
keep playing!

Very pretty
I was looking around, listening to a capella songs, because I'm working on a new project and wanted to get inspired, and I stumbled upon your song. I love your voice. You have such a lovely quality to it. I'm going now to check out your other stuff. Thanks for sharing!
