Stooey's Challenge

Description
Stooey challenged us to record a song in 5 minutes. Here is my attempt.

I took 5 minutes to think up something, then only 4 minutes to record.

It's super cold, windy and snowy here, so the song is about how it's like living in a snow globe that's in some giant's backpack while jumping on a trampoline in an industrial freezer.

LOL
Very funny.:) Made me think of Leo Kottke for some reason. I like it--heck, I'd like it even if it took ya 10 minutes.;)

Leo Kottke!?!
Um, thanks! But I could hardly equate the two myself. I will reveal my inspiration though: it was Xavier Rudd. There's a vid of him on youtube playing this cool ass song "These are the Days" in a studio. Wicked.

Thanks for the comment!

another couple of seconds
just to hit the quantize button for the rhythm track in places......thats just my take on it though.....

I know what you mean...
It does sound off in places, but that's not the rhythm's fault. The loop is very syncopated in places and i just coouldn't sync up with it. So, I let it fly.

Thanks for the comment!

I gotta admit, it's better than mine. Glad you took up the challenge.

Stooey

I think the guitar playing is good.

Plus...
I was wearing my finger picks and thumb pick at the time, so mouse clicks and typing was greatly inhibited. You can just about hear me throwing off my slide at the end to finish up.

Fun Stuff
That's a really nice slide guitar!

Thanks!
I'm working on it. I actually play it as a lap slide. It's a big adjustment for me. And then with the time constraint...it was a lot of pressure! But thanks for youe uplifting comment.

I will post some "real" lap slide songs soon.
