Description
I had a lot of fun composing this. The ensemble playing is called The Peärls before Swïne Experience and consists of flute, violin, violoncello an piano.

Hah! Love the ending... who got shot? This is great; kind of a study in "more is more." Completely over the top, extremely well played. Who are the players? Is this a live concert recording, and if so, where, what context?

Thaks for posting this. I hope you get lots of feedback.

Heh!
Thanks for comments! Well, nobody got shot... I was for various reasons forced to stop composing at a certain time a certain day, and when that moment did arrive I simply slammed the piano lid.

And yes, this is a live recording from a concert in Gothenburg, Sweden, 1997. The occasion was a festival for Nordic contemporary music. The players are extremely skillful and have their own ensemble called The Peärls before Swïne Experience - check them out at http://www.swinepearl.com/.

Excellent
Great composition. Wonderful recording. Nice balance, passionate and intelligent performances. Love the chaotic opening, the almost fugue like counterpoint, the death of the classical ending. Wit added to the many other attributes. Thanks for sharing this wonderful track.

Thanks!
I thought I should do what the old masters did, that is to end the piece with a Grande Fugue... I actually composed a three minutes long fugue for 4 voices but thoght it was more funny to use only what you now can hear.

Yes...
...it is a live recording from -97. There are misstakes in the piece from the musicians, but the overall attitude and sound compensates for thoses misstakes, I think. This piece is released on a cd with the ensemble, but I much more prefer this version.

Thanks for you comments!

Frantic Release
I like the how frantic begining of this piece leads to a moment of calm and then, BAM! the ending. Very exciting. I image someone running from a menace, finding safe place, and the snuffed out of exisitence. Very nice, organic recording as well.

Glad I found this
Very listenable contemporary piece. Whereas I have to be dragged kicking and screaming into works from even the 20th century, I enjoyed hearing this exciting music very much...

I'm glad you're here sharing your music with us. Welcome to the MacJams community.

Bravo you dirty swine!
Now all you need to is dig up Orson Welles and have him direct a visual bit of eye candy to go along with this.... or maybe Fellini.... Hitchcock...?
I really enjoyed this piece.
Nice to hear something of this ilk on this site.
