Hmmm!
I dig it! Has a bit of an 80's sound! I would work on the guitar sound. Sounds a little dated. You should check out Blind Gaurdian. Especially the album "A Night at The Opera" Nice rockin track! Sweet jammin! Keep workin it!

Really cool song
The guitars are awesome and you have a really nice bed to lay this all on... As far as substance and abilities you have it and you have a solid song here. If you don't mind me making a couple of suggestions. I feel that the guitar part... not the lead but the guitar part at the start, the notes seem to cut off instead of sustain... Maybe try a multi tap delay... The guitar sound is great but maybe buss out the guitar and give it some ambience. It seemed like you were fighting to finish each progression to get ready for the next and cut the end off. An effect could fix that and keep the song from being rushed which would make the whole thing flow better. The orchestra could be a tad back in my opinion, they compete with the guitar solo and should back and compliment it. I think it would also help to add some space, just a tad reverb... assign a buss if you have that option and choose a room setting or choose a room setting on your inline track. Once again... really solid and thanks for sharing...

Invigorating
Love the stereo guitars. I like the breathless feel that others interpreted as rushing, it added to the energy and personality of the performance for me. In my studio monitors, there is a roominess to the sound that doesn't integrate with the clean drums and other stuff, especially the right side guitar, that his buss suggestion might fix, altho it may be more of a chorus problem. (Altho, in headphones, the roomy sound wasn't there, except in the french horn sample.) The power and energy you achieve is great fun. The drum needs more variations and fills, in my ears, to avoid sounding like loops, and the cymbals needed boosting (for the most part); even tho I really like the transitions you achieve in the drum track. Thanks for sharing this invigorating recording. (Man, the french horn player can go high!)

good input!
although, there are just a few things i would like to point out that make some of your suggestions impossible. First off, those are indeed drum loops i used, however, real drums will be recorded in the near future! the bussing situation is really not all that possible on garageband, or if it is, please let me know how i can do it!!! and lastly, that was no french horn player you heard, that was me at a roland keyboard!! hahahahaha, but im glad it fooled somebody.

in all seriousness though, i really do appreciate all the input everyone on here has given me, and it hasn't fallen on deaf ears. keep on truckin' macjammers!!!

peace
-john
