Lyrics

Rever, rever...

mmmmm dreamy
When i had a 9 to 5 which on most days was more like 7 to 6 I was so stressed out that i used a meditation CD to help me fall asleep. A voice with soothing music behind lulling me to sleep except right as i would begin to sleep this flute came in a would wake me right up.

I was digging on this song hard, especially with the circus imagery you suggested, i was right there. I love the voice and in French no less...ooh la la! But then the flute came in and now i'll be up all night. perhaps if the flute sat back in the mix a bit or maybe a lot actually with some verb with the echo. I love the dreaminess....it's so....dreamy!

I totally
understand. I had this vision of the flute being played "awkwardly" by a clumsy mechanical doll or puppet that comes back to life in some dark corner of the circus. Images, images... I surely could do a "sleepy" dreamier remix, that could be fun! Thanks for listening and commenting.

Like it too
This is a nice mood piece, but as eleveneyes mentioned, the flute comes on a little to loud in the mix. Maybe just adjust the volume and add a little reverb to it within the AU(audio units) effects. (Click on the flute software instrument details )your using to adjust or add more effects and save the new version with a different name for future use.

thank you
The harshness of the flute was a "composition" choice, I wanted it to be crude - but I understand that it's too strong a contrast. Thanks for the links and advise.

I'm in Buenos Aires right now, doing some volunteer 'work' with the poorest of the poorest children. They love my ukulele, even though I'm a mediocre player. Back in December... Ciao!... [see more]
