Lyrics
Animal Parade

Took a rainbow babe in a flowerpot hat
To the dragon on the other side of town
And she talked about love
And she talked about life
And I told her never bother looking down
Cos on a one way trip
You can never get a hit
If your'e always looking out for number one
But when the river gets high
Theres a sparkle in your eye
And everybody's got a place to go - come on
Your'e a crocodile snapper
Your'e an alligator trapper
Your'e a hippy hippopotamus a go-go
If its a no no gogo to the show show
nono bozo-kickin to the crackin
of the crickets my my sweet child
why why should anybody have to die
When were livin in the middle of space
If I could take you to the top
We would never never stop
And it would all be worth the wait

The numbers
Thanks Helena - those are keywords that you add to your page in a vague hope that they might show up in a search engine and lead someone to your song. The numbers represent how many times that particular word has been entered as a keyword by another macjammer. As you can see - no-one has entered the word pushmepullyou in before (or trousersnake for that matter either). As for being the best Mj'er or however thats spelt - nice of you to say so - If thats the case can you round up a few hundred thousand groupies to come buy my cd.Perhaps I could auction off my underwear on ebay..?

Animals
Animals are cute though I must admit I find them more comical than anything - mainly cos like all good comedians they keep perfectly straight expressions when they are doing the strangest things.I am easily amused I think - the sight of a horse yawning is enough to keep me in a state of hysterics for days. And tell me this - why when in the middle of washing do cats suddenly freeze as if pausing for thought and stare at you then suddenly switch back into action. Are they actually thinking about which part theyve missed out or are they thinking that you might be able to point it out to them?
'yep - its that hind leg there you've missed..'

I knew...
I liked this the moment it started. Just like an animal parade this is...
Your creativity and talent... I do like. Love that steel drum(?) thing you got going there. Great hip-rap... perfect interlude as it were. cheers...

Thanks Dad!
As with all music it derives from somwhere and my love for steel drums comes from one time when I was in er... Plymouth I think it was and was looking for a spot to busk it was mega-busy and I kind of got stressed with the whole thing really but then I heard this wonderful sound and it was an african guy who had a steel drum but had written or had got some dj to write some backing tracks - they were kind of like well known tunes but funked up and he was just playing the most amazing melodies. He just made me want to start dancing in the street.I'd love to make one one day

My favourite favourite of yours....
Richard this is a gem of a piece. All the elements fit together brilliantly. I'm already doffing my virtual hat to you.

My imagination ran riot with imagining marching bands trying to carry a harpsichord whilst someone was playing it and people running around trying to find a good signal for the Wifi so that the kid playing the Crystal synth plugin could transmit his/her playing to the Tannoy system.

Once again, great stuff.

Paul.

Thanks Paul
Now youve got me at it.I guess he could get a mate to push a laptop connected to a battery on some kind of trolley. Then youd need a pretty long midi lead and one of those guitar keyboards like Jan Hammer used to play. You could disguise the trolley as a jeep.I think sometimes I live in cloud cuckoo land.Hey I was looking at those concrete fx synths th other day - they look quite interesting.Good to hear from you, great compliments

feels like...
Mickey Hart, one of the drummers from the Grateful Dead did a bunch of projects outside of the GD. I have one album called Mickey Hart- Mystery Box and this is as good as anything on there, that is to say it is a collection of drum filled journey songs with some kick ass spoken word parts. If you get the chance give it a listen, I think itd really ring for you. Keep it up!

It was an interesting little number, but...
for me it felt a little too long. But as the phrase goes, "It's not you it's me."

I liked the South African sound it picked up in the latter half, it's what made me listen to the end.
