a simple, rockin' little number.
this is one of those songs that seemed to write itself. i put together some drum loops and everything else just quickly materialized on top.

you can hear my hound dog, eliza, in the left side of the mix ...about 29 seconds in. she doesn't like it when i leave her downstairs to go record, so she'll bark and howl and whine....i kinda liked her vocals so i copied and pasted it a few seconds later.

or deceptively easy? Either way, this is a kickin' song. A lotta fun to listen to. All of your songs seem to have great lyrics, too. Thanks for sharing!!

A kinky,
pixie-like, lou reed rock'roll tincture. I like it! Even if the production stays the same, I'd still listen to it. Love the words, too. Damn clever. Almost brilliant pop! Shine up the diamond! Shine on you crazy diamond

You hold one of the keys
to establishing a great sound: a unique and interesting
voice. Your vocal style is fantastic for this genre, and your
imperfections are perfection.

You can really write a good, tight song. Congrats!

well put together
You really know how to put together a good song! The
structure is tight, the chords interesting yet consistent,
not to the point of being repetitive. This is the necessary
balance for a successful song.

Excellent vocals, very fluid -- you've got a wide range. I
really like it when you dip down to the low notes. But you
don't overdo that effect.

Great guitar, too.

This song sort of reminded me of the early Rolling Stones

well put together
NOW it's starting to come back to me....what this song reminds me of....not
the Stones, but the Trogs, singing, "I just want... to BE with you...all of THE
time...all DAY, and ALL of the night".

Damn fine song
"The wind don't know what it's doin, it just blows and
blows and blows." I love that line.

I get so used to listening to parts of songs, picking out
things, learning from them etc. This song is so tight that I
hear it as a whole-- and that's a great achievement. This
is great rock and roll. This kind-of reminded me of the
Romantics, but it's less formulaic than "What I Like About
You." If I had heard this on the radio, I'd have been trying
to find out who did it to buy the CD.

Great Vocals
Your vocals strikes me on several different levels.
Lou Reed, The Troggs, The Stones...but I hear some
hillbilly in there. Very cool harmonies.
You gotto keep writing stuff like this... and
uploading it to MJ so I can crank up my Ipod on the
ride home.

better than that
Great tune. Similar to the new old by the Strokes..
etc. but better, smart, from a musician that knows
how to write. Love it! Have it on my iPod.

You're clearin' the smoke away
I dig the out of tune vocal harmonies that make the whole tune sound lke smokers rock. Very cool vibe. You should post more. Great sound. Perfect Indie. Pass the joint?

I knew I liked this song enough to fav and download almost
immediately, and I'm pretty pick about what I bother to

I just had the most awsome experience...
I joined MacJams a long, long time ago...and added this
song as one of my favorites. Then I stopped comming
here, mostly because my own Mac was underpowered for
making music.

But recently I got my studio set up and decided to come
back. I called up this song, which I had totally forgotten

Twas like hearing an old favorite song from my youth.

Keep crankin'

It's so easy commenting on Brian's songs. They rock. That's all. How long
to wait until new material? And will it be here or over at the iTunes music
store? I'd pay ten bucks for an album, no brainer there.
