Lyrics
Treat Me Right
(c) 2004 Alan Crouch

I see my life
Before my eyes
I've stripped my soul
Of its disguise
Don't hold me back
Don't drag me down
Don't whisper lies
Don't make a sound

Just Treat Me right
Treat Me Right
Treat Me Right

I see my life
Slip away
The hours pass
I'm in a daze
Don't walk that path
Don't cross that line
Don't shoot your mouth
Don't waste my time

Just Treat Me right
Treat Me Right
Treat Me Right

I see my life
A setting sun
A dimming light
The end has come
Don't pray for me
Don't sell my soul
Don't steal my heart
Don't turn and go

Just Treat Me right
Treat Me Right
Treat Me Right

Great ballad indeed,
supercool vocals, nice chord progression and, mainly, very professional "live" performance....yes....that's the REAL thing!!!

Thanks very much
Wow - Feter, Lupi, B, Mark, Cees, Fulvio: Thank you all so much for your kind words. I'm sure the band (US and UK :) will appreciate it very much. I'll check with David on his guitar - you'd think I would know right away after a year of live gigs, recording sessions, and rehearsals. But being a simple bass player/songwriter I just pay attention to the rhythm and hope I remember the words to the songs ;) so I will have to ask.

Hope you are all well, and we all appreciate you stopping by to listen.
Take care friends,
-- Alan (and Lisa, David, Dean, James)

Thanks
Thanks for listening Jakob. Its a blast playing with David - he plays a heck of a guitar solo live too, and really mixes it up from gig to gig which keeps it interesting.
Take care,
Alan

Ah, there's that crystal clean sound again
Love everything yo do. Put me on your gig list when you decide to hop in the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine for a road trip to East-East Tennessee. Man, I miss having a music scene. Regards to the Green Door... I think that's the place I went in your neck of the woods. Well, I raise my virtual beer in your honor.

Road Trip
Bob, while we'd love to come out and play in Tennessee, I think we'll be sticking around Portland at this point. The good thing is we have MJ so we can check out all your cool tunes and I'll be posting some mastered versions of Treat Me Right and Lonely that we just got finished hot off the presses this last weekend. Take care my friend, and thanks for listening!

Nice Singin
The whole band sound good. Cool guitar lead, like the sound of the that as well the other parts of the band. Almost reminds me of Linda
Ronstadt band. This has a terrific sound like that. But of course your own style.

Thanks Thetiler
Well thank you very much! It's so nice playing with Lisa and David. I am glad you and Bronco reminded us of Linda Ronstadt - that is a good influence for us to consider, from the older folk/blues Eagles days.
All the best,
Alan
