Description
As I listened to the song a few times, I realized that in a vague sort of way, I was paying tribute to one of my favorite guitar composer, Mike Oldfield. That's where the title comes from. It's a lame attempt to pay tribute to both Oldfield and the LIOLI challenge.
I took the loop as the main theme and then in Oldfiled style I keep using it over and over in different ways. Mostly by adding GB vocal effects. It does not have the complexity of and original Oldfield riff, but I think it is still a humble tribute to his minimalist style.
I humbly offer this entry to LIOLI 7 and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
PS. I only found out about LIOLI 7 on Thursday, as I have not been around MJ as much as I would like. However, if it sounds rushed, it not because of the time frame, but simply that I am not patient enough to tinker. (I guess I am like the Ed Wood of GB!)
Looking forward to hearing the other entries!
