Description
Mostly written for the political content, slight as it may be, wanted to give it a try, it's so hard not to sound hoky with this stuff.

Wasn't quite sure on genre, thoughts on everything welcome, from lyrics to production to performance, etc.

Many thanks for listening.

Lyrics
Unappreciated waves they rise beyond the shore,
While everybody's telling you to pull it back some more;
They say that you've got arrogance the size of all the world,
And everybody thinks it's time for you to fall on down.

(To fall him down...
They're gonna put some more effort into lies)

And tempers flare unspoken words devour our decent ties
If you would leave your wife today that sure would make them smile,
And everybody cries denies the cycle of the world,
Demand, demand and all you got to give is your own life.

You see they don't like to se the black man move
Rise above his circumstance, he must remain below
And under the depths of the dungeon the master says
'take your hands, kill yourself'
You see they don't like to see you rise,
And I rise,
And I rise,
And I rise,
And I rise,
And I rise...
You see but they don't want to see you rise.

Just listening for
the second time. This is just so creative and mesmerising, love the way it builds and the surprise voice. I wonder if that voice could be changed just very slightly somehow - it reminds me a bit too much of Gollum. Fantastic production as always.
Really enjoyed this and downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

gollum
hahaha, that's hilarious, I totally hear it now. Thanks for the listen as always! I struggled with that voice a bit, any lower and it became incomprehensible. Ah, the little things, :)

Song
I like the way you put this together. I had a little trouble with the "voice" also. It makes sense in the song. Needs to be different somehow to be more listenable while keeping the feeling of the verse. The first two verses are excellent :)

Thanks
Bill

nicely done
i gotta say i like it, just everything, the song stays busy but definitely in balance, yeah the voice caught me off guard but i loved it, i agree it could be changed slightly but still not necessary, it definitely brought a darker presence and perspective to the song, good job man

Very cool
I like this a lot. The lyrics are smart and well-crafted, the arrangement is excellent - a patient build-up and a nice use of different elements - and the singing is great. I'm going join in the chorus and suggest that the voice is a bit distracting, but it's really just a nit I'm picking. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.
