Hunting Buildings

It has been a long time since i posted anything here. My main focus at the time is working with my band, Theoball. We played our first gig last Friday, with 200 people in the audience! This is from the live recording that we did. It is a soundboard recording, so it has a very clean sound. This song is written by the Bass player, Stig. He is a very good songwriter!

I've been sitting here for a week
Still I haven't found what I seek
But I'm confident it will be found
And when I do I'll bring it to the ground

Oh this waiting game wears me out
I can't expose myself, walk about
I'm a patient man, I know
But all there's to do, is watch the grass grow

Then it came along
What I was waiting for
And I shot it down

Roof and windows
Doors and all the walls
It crumbled at my feet

After sitting here for a week
Then I fineally found what I seek
I was confident it would be found
And when I did, I brought it to the ground

But the waiting game wore me out
Could not expose myself, or walk about
I'm a patient man, I know
And all I did, was watch the grass grow

More songs about buildings and food...
Definite early David Byrne influence in the verse vocals, and I think maybe even in the acoustic rhythm guitar...

Nice tight soundboard recording...better than most, actually, and the drums are nicely in the pocket...Nothing overpowers...In a perfect world, on my listening system, I'd like a little more of the bass...Very clean, as you noted, and it doesn't sound sterile...

Sounds like the crowd loved you, too! Or at least Stig!

A great beginning with the new band, Magnus. Good luck with it!

Go Theoball
I am excited for you Magnus! You must be having fun! Isn't it a kick playing for a live audience? Do you have a You Tube video yet? The song is okay but you have written better. Look for great things from you guys in the future.
