Description
I awakened and "she" was beside me. The sun shone through the window on her face at just the right angle. A beautiful start to a great looking day.

Great Playing
A very fitting song title. Just the sort of sweet improvisation that we are coming to expect from Mackeller. Really like the clavs and the synth pads on the solos. Piano seems a tad bit loud in the mix, but the tone and the melody lines are just right. Would love to hear some kind of modulation to a different key at some point. It would also be cool to get the drums a bit more involved in the whole song. Everything sounds so fresh and alive that the drum loop sort of keeps this tune from really taking off. Thanks for posting such cool music.

Everything
you said is so right. I was so anxious to post this song that I just did. I know I have to work on the drums and piano i will. Thank you for making the suggestions though. I REALLY honestly appreciate them. They give me perspective. I've been in my room all day so It's refreshing to hear what other's think. I WAS thinking of modulating but I for some reason decided not to. I thought let me not make the end of the song resolve instead. When I do make the changes I will repost. :-)

Good stuff. Very evocative of the islands without being obvious.

lots
of cool jazz funk here.

Really nicely done! Enjoy the fuzz synth, really mixes quite well with the rest of the cool jazz funk.
Of this style, it sure seems to me top notch in this style. Maybe one of the best of this genre.

Like those abrupt runs, (three or four in a row etc UNIQUE !!!!
Then there is MORE / Nice pleasant surprise, not heard that ever in that way.

Thanks for making MJ so creative in the funk jazz category!!

Way to GO!

You write such upbeat, joyful tunes. Always an edge for the progression and simply top notch melodic leads. The expression in the lead around 1:54 is freakin great. Very Jeff Lorberish.
